Jons the Shapeshifter



Jons was born and raised a human. But one day, at the age of 15, he woke up as a slime. Nobody recognized him, and he couldn't speak. He got to the Form Crystal and turned himself human again just in time.
Ever since then, Jons has been traveling the world, learning new forms to use with his ever-expanding shape-shifting powers.
But one question remains - just who is Jons? The answer lies deep within his soul...
In the meantime, Jons is going to have a little fun by substituting for Brawl characters. CSPs are included as well.

Cat Toon Link v3



No new textures, but with vertex hacking I've flattened out Toon Link's human nose. Now he looks a bit more like a cat when photographed from the side, and less like a kid with face paint.

Examples

For Link and Toon Link, I've uploaded some example GIMP .xcf files of their default textures with layers already separated. For Kirby, I've included the .xcf sources I use to make new Kirby colors. Explanations are included in the .xcf's as invisible text layers. They were written very quickly, but if you have any questions you can reply and I'll do my best to answer them. Brawl Team Colors


This is a texture pack made up of textures mostly from other authors. Click on the title or image to go to the wiki page, which has downloads and credits.

Sonic Recolor Pack



Brown Sonic: It took a long time to work this one out. Sonic pink overlay can't be removed, so I ended up making his fur a low-saturation shade of yellow-green to counteract it. Now I can just use Mewtwo2000's fixed Sonic.
Ray Sonic: The arcade colors of Ray the Flying Squirrel. In the comics, his skin is the same color as Sonic's, but for that you might as well just use a Yellow Sonic texture.
Magenta Sonic: I originally made his texture pink, and it came out this color. That's a nice-looking color, isn't it? Now it's that color in the actual texture, so it looks pretty much the same even on Shadow Moses.
Monochrome Sonic: The CPU player from Sonic the Fighters.

Kirby Recolor Pack



Yes, this pack contains six new Kirby colors!
Brown Kirby - light brown body, dark brown feet
Light Blue Kirby - light blue body, very light blue (almost white) feet
Light Green Kirby - light green body, white feet
Halloween Kirby - orange body, very dark gray feet
Red & Yellow Kirby - red body*, yellow feet
Slate Blue Kirby - blue body and feet
*I only changed the color of the feet on the red one, so it's not as impressive. But it still looks nice!

There's also new CSP included I made for MnSG's Purple Kirby.
The CSPs included are in .png format; use BrawlBox or BrawlScape to insert them into common5.pac.

Toon Link Recolor Pack



Here are seven new Toon Link colors for you! WOW did I go overboard on that one.

Strap Loaders



The strap loader on the left is my Mirrored Strap Loader. You can use it as a template for your own strap loader without giving me credit. I made it by changing the bones to move the different parts of the model (Yes, it's a model!) I also made a HAL Strap Loader, with the red Nintendo logo, the HAL logo, and a copyright notice. It actually doesn't work in game. Can anyone fix it?

KirbyTool Example Textures



With KirbyTool, I've made it possible to make Kirby and Pichu textures for Melee real quickly. I whipped up some textures partially to show what the tool can do and partially as a reason to make the tool in the first place.
The Pichu .zip file contains Brown, Red, Green and Blue Pichu, each corresponding to a particular color in Melee that they can replace.
The Kirby archive has Light Green, Red/Cream, LemonLime and Brown Kirby. Each of them can replace any Kirby color in the game, because I ran the tool six times for each texture. Also, Kirby has 5 .dat files for each texture (four are for his hats), so this results in a LOT of different .dat file "quintets" you can choose from. Thankfully, 7-zip compresses them all to 535KiB.

Complete Night Fury Pack v2



A girl named Tory has a strange new pet who wears human clothes. She likes to call him Night Fury because his jet black skin and green eyes make him look like one. But in reality, he's clearly not a dragon of any sort.
Although he generally acts like an obedient dog, when there is a danger to the planet, he fights like a human. He uses a sword, bombs and plenty of arrows, all of which he pulls from midair.

The pack contains six colors (green, red, blue, purple, yellow and white), CSPs and battle portraits, and replacements for Toon Link's CSS icon and CSS and battle names.
Optionally, three victory poses have been copied from Ness and Lucas (without extra scaling), which makes Night Fury look adorable when he wins. To go along with the new poses, there are two versions of FitToonLink.pac, one which mutes nearly all vocal clips. Be sure to read the Readme.txt!

Orange Cat Zelda


LookItsLink did the vertex edits to Zelda to give her the cat ears and mouth. This version has the regular hair/body, to avoid animation glitches. CSPs are included.

Kirby XP



A Kirby emulator for Windows? No, it's just a texture. Kirby's eyes (which I traced over in black) are inside a window. His skin is the same blue that's the default background color in Windows XP when there's no picture, and the green color is from the Start button. Sorry, no ability textures for DK, Olimar, etc.

Anyway, this is a close approximation of the Motion-Sensor Bomb from Goldeneye 007 and Super Smash Bros. Melee, using the Melee texture as a base.

This was not hard at all to do, and it's one of my favorites. The yellow and red go very well together IMO.

A modification to his pink texture, I selected all the pink areas, turned down brightness by 100, and made them grayscale. Not all that impressive, but good practice.

Wario Plumber's Cap for Kirby



For some reason, when I heard BrawlBox could now swap animations and models, this was the first thing I thought of. It's actually FitKirbyWario00's animations inserted into FitKirbyMario00. I modified the texture, renamed it back to FitKirbyWario00, and eventually got it working so nothing crashes. The hat doesn't exactly match, but I like it.

Note: I've started using M&SG's version instead. It's closer to what Wario's hat actually looks like. The .pac file works on the same animation-swapping principle as above.

@Alphatron: it worked when I translated them, but I couldn't rotate or resize them. I think I might have had to change it in the animation too.

Is there a quicker way than doing it manually?

I pretty much did them manually, but I have a system. The "Examples" .7z has the .xcf bases I use.

Orange Cat Zelda (and a matching Sheik) is up now. Cat Toon Link V2 will come once I have time to upload it.
