So, let me explain my situation to you. I've been wanting to do various hacks for quite some time now. I've only now gotten the means to do it. However, I've run into a few snags and I can't get anything to work yet.

As far as the file patch code method goes, I can't use that because my Wii despises dual layer dvd's, and doesnt want to run them. For this reason, I cant use Gecko OS. I use USB Loader GX to load most of my (LEGAL!) games. I was made to understand that using the ocarina that is installed into USB Loader GX, I could use the file patch code. I tried this, only to find that either a.) It wouldnt recognize my .gct's  or b.) I had to convert a .txt to a .gct within the loader, and even then it said the code was too long.

So I tried ISO hacking using Wii Scrubber 1.30. when doing this, I got a myriad of errors simply loading Brawl, stating something to the effect of "io read". After closing about 20 of those, I got into the actual ISO. No problem finding my way around it, and I quickly replaced what needed to be replaced for a simple texture hack of Marth. I sent the ISO to my USB Disk and started it up. Heres when things went wrong.

Upon loading the game, I noticed the load time was significantly longer. I finally got into group mode, selected the color I had the texture hack on, selected my stage and then...nothing. The game froze. I let it sit for 15 minutes just to be sure, but nothing happened.

And there you have it. Sorry for the long winded post, but if anyone can think of ANY way for me to get anything working, I would very grateful.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I did try a few other texture hacks, just to be sure it wasn't just the one for Marth. They all resulted in the same freeze.

I've done that. It refuses to find the .gct. I even tried renaming the folder and using custom paths in USB Loader. Still no luck. The only .gct it will find is the one USB Loader itself makes out of a .txt file.
