Can you at least explain what your problem is?  No one is gonna help you if you're not too specific about your problem.

Have your portraits named properly. CUPASH is case sensitive; make sure they're all lowercases, and nothing's uppercase.

I used step 1 create and made  all the tga files. I edited marth's to a pic of roy (same xtact size). The used step 2. it ran for a while then closed nd all i ended up with was some folders and the system folder contained some file. I put it in the pf folder and booted up the game...nothing. Nohting in the folder that i mentioned in my frst post though.

You are placing your new CSPs in your newfiles folder, right? Not in the templates, leave those alone.

So the roy pic is supposed to go in the needed folder not the templates folder?

Exactly. Must also be renamed to the portrait you want to replace.

Wrong folder.  All new CSP portraits need to be placed in the newfiles folder.

I keep getting those two folders confused.

Ok it's working now the only problem is that it'saying the pic does not have a pallete. I used gimp2.6 to edit the file. Does that make a difference?

The image has to be indexed. CUPASH doesn't really like GIMP indexes.

Ironically, most of my portraits were indexed with The GIMP, and they work properly on my game.  Mr. G&W is probably the only character where his portraits should be indexed in Photoshop.

    Image > Mode > Indexed...

Set the maximum number of colors to 72 or less for the big portraits.  Some may need a smaller palette, but usually no less than 32 colors.

sorry for having too many problems but now it says:

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.

Then some wierd dialog for tplsplitter.exe comes up saying it stopped working.
