Is there a limit to how many CSPs I can use with the file patch code? Anything above the 140 (give or take) I already finished freezes the game as I enter the select screen.

Pretty much. CUPASHes fault. I had 149 last time, no errors for me, but at some point, I'm expecting it.

Ah that's lame. Heh and my estimate of 140 was way off. It seems that the breakaway limit's around 234...

Hm.. I have an option for you. A friend of mine thought of this. It's a theory.

Alright, take out some CSPs, don't delete them. Run step2, and try it if it freezes your game on the CSS. k, make a brand new CUPASH folder in C:\.

Extract your common5.pac with created CSPs with step1. Your old CSPs you added will be in the templates folder, leave them alone. Then, add the CSPs you want in the newfiles folder, and run step2. It might fix the problem, I don't know, I haven't tried it.

Make sure you back up the menu folder too, those are the Victory Portraits, and the info (if you have anything in there).

If you use over 120 portraits, and some of those portraits are for Zelda, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus, PKMN Trainer, Charizard, Squirtle, and/or Ivysaur, freezing is likely to occur.

Darn it's a no go, still greeted by that irritating beeeeeep.  Oh shi~ Thanks for the suggestion though, much appreciated.

Hmm, is that a fact. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: Yeps, deleting my CSPs for Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur solved the issue. Kudos to you man.

is it possible for CSP's to cause freezes in-game? because I cant seem to figure out why my game freezes at times, and both the times when the game froze, either Squirtle or Charizard was being used.
