ok, lets say I have a .rel file that belongs to captain falcon, named captain.rel
and lets say I want to use a captain falcon mod on pit.
to use the mod I need a pit.rel to convert captain falcon info into pit info, right?
so... can I just take the captain.rel
copy it
and rename it pit.rel?

    no Im srs here

    renaming the .rel file wont work

    you have to edit your captain.rel with a hex editor so you can use it over pit
