    @Mariofan: Rig is nearly finished. Rather than putting more pressure of his files I combined his normal map textures rather than using spec maps as you can see. His rig is almost finished. Just have to fix his butt areas since it is a bit odd. I'll see what bones are weighed on the Brawl Bowser
    it will be a sin not to release bowser with some sort of spec maps, be it custom made or what not.

    OK I followed StupidMarioFan1's advice and changed the culling, and while the skirt normals still don't look quite exactly right, it still looks alot better than it before.

    Apologies for being so quiet, had an awful headache yesterday, so I didn't get anything done. And while today's still nothing major, at least I managed to do a bit:

    Finally made Yoshi's textures brighter:


    Started on some recolors already (have to redo all others though, because I noticed a messes up spot too late):


    But now for the question of the day... keep the colored eggs?

    On one hand, they do look better, but the Egg Lay move, as well as Egg Throw and also the egg shards are still green, due to (presumably) being from the shared motion file. The discrepancy kinda bothers me.

    yarn yoshi is look much better than before!
    Maybe you can desaturate it a tad bit to give it more of a pastel-ish color istead of it being neon green ;u;

    Yeah, now it's a bit too saturated, but in the right direction. Keep comparing it to the actual Yarn Yoshi until it matches.

    Thats not a normal issue. Thats a cull setting issue, since the skirt is double planed.

    Gave up using spec-maps, instead I'm just going to include template textures for easy recolors, here's Mario so far.



    His damage eyes are copies of his normal eyes with tiny irises, so they can move if one wanted them to. Roll Eyes
    Should he use the normal Brawl texture, or should I use the same texture I used for the buttons as his metal texture, it's this image which was from the chrome metal texture hack.

    I wanted to import that model a while back but never found the model, nor had the iso to try and rip it from, are you doing Diddy as well? Smiley

    I make YouTube videos, SM64 hacks, Brawl Hacks (obviously), NSMBW hacks, and GoldenEye 007 Mods. I also have a short attention span and tend to switch around a lot and put things on hold. But when I do finish things, 95% of the time I gave 120% effort, the other 5% of the time I give 100% effort.

    Mario's getting better, for sure. I'd say make his buttons more gold and less white.

    If only there was a way to make his red clothing look as soft as it does in-game... Without it, it looks kind of unimpressively textured/too bright. But that's a limitation with the lighting engine...

    I'm suprisingly productive on sick days.

    Gotta fix the rig on the fingers and neck a little bit, and find a way to rig the mouth. Ive never had any luck rigging it myself before. After Peach, then it's back to Rosalina's model.

    Alright, this looking better? I didn't change the black and white Yoshis, because I think they look fine.


    I definitely will release Yoshi and the stage today.

    In addition to the above green Yoshi, here's also another take version, because I thought he didn't look green enough and already had the pictures taken:

    Almost, but the color isn't quite there yet. I also realized your yarn formation is going in the opposite direction from the actual one, so fix that if you want to. I'd say color is more priority though.
