I did a quick rig of this model ages ago, it looks so similar from a distance I never bothered to finish it.

Very easily. YouTube is awesome. Videos and research on the subject amount to more than enough. I've never played a Final Fantasy game in my life yet I did a Cloud moveset.
Not to derail this thread further, but I just come off of beating '06. I hate the game if you take it at face-value (aside from having some awesome ideas gone horribly wrong, a kickass soundtrack, and Dan Green) but it's incredibly fun to see how badly you can break the game. That said, this is probably one of the best Let's Play's/commentaries to look at.

I have enough to say about it that I could easily do my own Let's Play if you need to know anything about it. Strangely enough though, I found Shadow the most fun to play and least broken of the 3 characters. Incidentally, if you're going to be making a moveset around the gems, they'd better be as broken and infinite as they are in '06. Especially the Red Gem, Sky Gem, and Purple Gem.
On a more serious note though, the model looks as good as it can be considering it's the '06 model. For what it's worth, the texture work in Sonic '06 is terrible when you take away the "next-gen shininess" lighting, so don't worry too much about the texture seeming different. All I can say is, good luck animating Sonic's noodle arms and legs. I'd make a quip about Sonic Team not being able to do it right but they were just really lazy and I'd be willing to bet you can do better. |

Ok I'm just going to do a Q&A right now so I don't have to answer these question in the future.
Q: Why are you making a full hack of a game you never played?
A: 1: I DID play it a bit when my brother had it but due to me not liking to look around I was good on the Silver stages but sucked on Sonic's first stage. 2: I want to do something original that no one has done before.
Q: How do you know all the powerups if you haven't played the game?
A: Youtube.
Q: What's your opinion on Sonic 06?
A: Need to play more of it.
Q: Why don't you just buy a copy?
A: Swedish PAL Xbox 360 Sonic 06 copies = Hidden somewhere with the Lost Ark.

A: Don't have a PS3 and I want achievements.

A: Pretty good. Almost done with the emotions.

Q: Why is Super Sonic very Yellow?
A: I'm going to make him light goldish cause he's based off the CGI cutscene model.
Q: Why do you say Labyrinth and 3D Blast is worse than 06 if you haven't played it?
A: From what I see in Let's Plays I find 06 not that bad looking. Labyrinth is a failure on the first 5 seconds of gameplay cause you're too slow and the idea sucks and 3D Blast... I must admit I played a hack with no flickies needed but even that hack was HORRIBLE and didn't make the game better at all cause I was STILL jumping on enemies and passing by Flickies. Also Sonic is slow in this game as well.
Q: Will this have custom animations?
A: Indeed it will.
Q: Want help with the animations?
A: I was thinking of doing them all myself but if I need help I'll probably ask for it.
Q: What project will you do after 06 Sonic?
A: one of the Planned ones in my Signature. The WIP ones are being worked on at the same time.
Q: What is the current moveset idea?
A: Glad you asked Q.
My idea for the 06 PSA:
dash A: Antigravity Kick
down A: Sweep kick (which I think he already has)
Forward air A: Homing Attack
Down air A: Bounce attack
Netrual B: Green Gem (Does the spiral kick and a green tornado appears around him which knocks opponents upwards)
Air B: White Gem (pretty much the normal Brawl Sonic move except you choose where Sonic should aim)
Side B: Sky Gem (throws the projectile forward and them dash towards it. Go over a ledge and you must get back up)
Air Side B: Sky Gem (this time he throws it diagonal down)
Down B: Spindash
Air Down B: Yellow Gem (a Block move and if anyone touches him they get electricuted)
Up B: Purple Gem (Goes tiny and jumps up high. Pretty much nothing to change here besides the spring)
Up air B: Purple Gem (same here)

You realize Sonic 06 is one of the hardest games to get achievements in ever. It is rated a 9 /10 on trueachievements in difficulty.

I think that Shadow story is the most finished story since Sonic is just screwed over and Silver well he is overpowered in 06.
Btw Sonic R is the worst Sonic game and black knight is way better then 06.

Are we gonna have problems bro? You liked Sonic 06? .takes out hammer of judgement. But I do think an 06 Shadow would be good. I beat the game on numerous occasions and had somewhere near 600 gamerscore... not good. I also hated Sonic R. And man wow... I thought Knight of the Wind alone was enough to make Black Knight the worst sonic game. |

Knight of the wind is a very good song. Yeah and shadow could have like his chaos blast form (when he turns red) as his FS. Kinda like wario man. |

I'm sorry but I just want this to focus on 06 Sonic alone!
Here's my opinion on the other games. When I've said them we'll STOP discussing it!
Sonic R: A nice racing game and actually a race game I could come back to when I have nothing to do.
Sonic and the Black Knight: Thought it was great but I'm alone by that in my family. With Me is by far my favorite theme in the game and the final boss was AWESOME!
Sonic 3D Blast. Hate this game hate this game hate this game hate this game.
Sonic Labyrinth: ...Give me my speed shoes back...
As for 06 Shadow PSA... Find someone else.
and as for Tails Doll... *goes to release it quickly*
