Has Materials editing been known to cause freezes any more/less often than vertex editing?

One wouldn't also be able to change the polygons' sizes by Materials editing, would they? I'm trying to see how much more I can edit things w/o the aid of bloody 3DS...

] Wow, there are a lot of alternative model editing methods of which I'm unaware. This kind of info should really be OP'd or something. Perhaps a new thread w/ tuts for those w/o 3DS...

Sounds like it'd be a great idea. Maybe WackaAlpaca could even help you out w/ some video tutorials for the thread. I really hope it works out.

Could anyone please make a right handed link with no shield plz? Also a true strapless except for the hilt, and no pouches.

I think you're delving into the lern2vertex regions there with changing Link's hands.

Not really, I just want his sword in his right hand and his shield in his left hand :l

It's not simple. If you just vertex hack the weapons to be in the opposite hands, they'll still be connected to their original hands and will float about strangely. It's not really possible to switch hands without pointlessly extensive hexing to re-arrange the bones (and THEN vertex hacking the weapons to be in the opposite hands), or a having working model re-builder.
Alternatively, one could vertex hack the sword into a shield and the shield into a sword, but obviously it will look strange and be annoying to texture too. If you want THAT, I could give it a shot.
In my honest opinion, it's not even that important. It's a pretty minor detail, equivalent to requiring custom animations for a vertex hacked character just so they stand like they should.

Hmm, okay so vertex the shield into a sword similar to Ikes? then and hex his normal sword out? Visually of course, since hexing the sword out completely would break the game most likely I'm making an overpowered link for teh God character thread, and I have an idea for a character I want to make. If it's possible, please ask Calmetta if you could do this with the female link model. Also uber credit for a custom standing animation so it looks right. /sarcasm Nah just poking fun with ya bro =3

it is simple, if u know how to use the bone tree editor by shyguy... u place the sword bone on his right hand and his shield bone on his left, and voila!
