Author Topic: Could any of these codes cause random game freezes while using Pokemon?  (Read 2599 times)

what's been happening recently is that my game randomly freezes in the middle of a match. and every time it happens, a pokemon is being used on the screen. the first time it's ever happened was Squirtle, chosen as an independent pokemon. and the rest of the times happened when i was facing against a CPU using "Random," and Charizard happens to be selected everytime it freezes. Although it doesnt always freeze when the pokemon are used, but it's happened quite a few times now.

So i'm wondering if any of these codes could be the cause of it?:

Or could it be caused by using CSP's? (Although i'm pretty sure CSP's would make the game crash in the middle of a match)

any help would be great. the only thing is that I cant really "test" it by removing the codes, because it's just a really random thing that it happens.

    hmm, but the first time when squirtle was selected, it was chosen through the character selection screen, as an independent pokemon, not random =x

    y do you have 2 file replacement codes?

    btw, what is manual L canceling.

    Lag Canceling. It's an old tech back in Melee by pressing one of the air dodge buttons to decrease the ending lag after performing an aerial.

    are they pretty much the same thing?

    Yeah, it's been stated that using those two will cause some crashing.

    Just a name change to the loader since it can play music now.

    ohh, that makes sense now. since i'm pretty much just using the 4.1 brawl+ codeset, all i did was add the version of the code that allows music playback. thanks, i'll try that out =]
