Hey guys,

I've gotten the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when I tried importing my .dae character file into BrawlBox.  I'm just picking this stuff up today, albeit I've had plenty of rigging experience in the past so that wasn't an issue.

The tutorial I was following by BlackJax said that this error is due to me not having added all the bones to the skin modifier, but I know they're all there so I'm stumped as to what the problem is.

My rig is over Ike, and I imported my own sword model and parented it to the hand bone, I'm not sure if this is the proper way to rig people over Ike, but it may or may not be the cause of the problem.

If further info. is required I'm happy to give it, but if anyone wouldn't mind lending a tip or two then I'm all ears Smiley.

Okay, I've solved that problem.  Turns out it was an importing issue with Ike's original .dae, so I'll have to re-rig it.

I do have another question, however.  Seeing as how I'm editing Ike, how would I go about changing his weapon?  I don't see any tutorials covering it, and it looks like just parenting a sword to the hand of my model doesn't do the trick.  I know it's been done through the varius hacks over Ike, but I have no clue how to do it myself.  Any ideas?

    Changing the weapon? just put the weapon where it should be, add the skin modyfier and set all weights to SwordM bone
