New to SSBB hacking and having trouble getting custom characters to show up.

I'm pretty sure i have all the needed downloads in all the right places. Got the pac and pcs files for sephiroth to go over Marth in his folder * marth * in  * fighter* folder but every time i try to load brawl using gecko and start play and pick Marth original outfit he just stays Marth. Any ideas on what i did wrong? i heard some people talking about * codes * you need which makes no sense since no guide i read said i needed codes to use custom characters.

Yes I looked through is several times but i saw he had a spoiler with codes he said were needed so I'm going to add them and see if it fixes my problem

Post Merge: June 22, 2012, 04:10:26 PMI just cant figure it out no character mods show up just regular characters. The guide is nice but it isnt helping me figure out what I did wrong. I just dont know if anyone thinks they may have a solution post is here please.
