Alright. So I've been working for days on trying to get Riivolution up and running so that I can use SFX and THP hacks.

I've used the modlauncher.xml and the gecko to riivo .xml on two seperate Sd cards.

I've looked over both the xml's to ensure that the layout of the sd card was correct.

I've ran pimp my wii, and made sure all my IOS's are up to date.

I tried another disc (fire emblem) and it read it just fine, but whenever I try to load brawl through Riivo I get a disc read error.

Brawl shows up just fine and launches perfectly in the Disc Channel, and I can run my hacks through Gecko the same as I always have.

Just Riivo will not read my Brawl Disc, and I have no idea why. I'm stumped and I need help... not to mention I'm very frustrated.

If you have codes for Brawl, that means that some code it's messing up all.

Have you waited for Riivo to try and load your hacks again?

I sometimes get the Disc Read Error. Occasionally, Riivo will give me a Disc Read Error three times, back to back. But in the end, it always loads up perfectly fine.

Well, I had the same problem before, and it was a code that I add that mess up something and for that reason the disc couldn´t be readed for the wii.
You don't have to download a new gct. You only need to detect what code is messing up all. I think that it has something to do with some character hack.
Do you add a character port recently with some codes that he needs to work?
