Yes...

Get a common5_en.pac, with the Infface###.brres files...

You can also use sc_selcharacter.pac to store your portraits.  It has a higher priority level than common5.pac, and doesn't require you to restart your game each time you make edits to it.  Of course, the file is compressed, and is stored in a different directory than common5.pac.
