How do you make textures parts transparent in photoshop.

    If you delete your background layer it becomes transparent (looks like grey and white squares) then just erase anything you don't want off of the actual texture layer.
    When you decide to save it, you need to optimise it first and set it so that it's transparency is on and set alpha transparency.

    I don't actually have photoshop but a similar program instead, so this may be different plus, sometimes some parts of the texture you can't make transparent or else it will leave a hole in the model or it will just turn black (regardless of whether you optimised it)
