I recently downloaded the beautiful mod for Mario called 8-bit Mario, which i provided the link in here:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=29933

After I downloaded it, I put the .pac and .pcs files into the mario folder where the textures go, but when i start the game, the 8-bit Mario texture does not replace Mario's original 6th palette color, which was his green and brown outfit. I had a similar problem with Captain Falcon when his 3rd palette I believe, wouldn't change. The solution to that one was to add an "_en" at the name of the file. For example, FitFalconXX_en.pac. The _en at the end fixed the problem. I also did that with mario's 6th palette, and i called it "FitMario06_en.pac". After that, the textures still took no effect. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how exactly can I make this texture replace Mario's palette? Thanks for all your help guys Smiley

The files start counting at 00, so while there may be six, they end at 05. Some characters skip numbers for no apparent reason though, and Mario is one of them. FitMario06 is the filename for the Fire Mario colour, his green one is FitMario02. Here's a list of all the character palette file names, I reccomend copying it into a .txt and saving it somewhere.

Also, for those who didn't know, the reason some of the characters skip a costume name is because their original costume is a team color costume.

To give you a better idea, ASF1NK made this color chart (re-uploaded since I don't remember where the original link is):

Alright I basically followed Banjo7J's post on the color palette order, and i resolved changing Mario's green palette to the 8-bit Mario. However, when I try to replace his third palette, which is the Jumpman, and his 2nd Palette palette, which is the Fire Mario (I believe you have to name your new texture FitMario06.pac since Green is the FitMario02.pac). They won't change at all. What did I do wrong exactly?

Just look at the picture I posted, and compare the color to the number on the far left.
Also, did you check the other costumes to see if you accidentally replaced the wrong color?

I'll look at the picture too, that might help as well Smiley. And I checked all the costumes, it didn't replace any of the wrong colors. The textures I downloaded didn't even take affect at all, which is very weird
