    I just got a USB HDD and was wondering.  Are you able to load textures from it and if so, is it the same as loading them off of a SD card?

    Just use the USB Loader. Rip the game to your HDD using USB Loader GX, copy it over to another partition on your HDD, insert the files, then copy it back. The game overall loads faster, and you won't have to worry about anything involving music messing up.
