I'd like to know if anything is off at all, cause I am a bit of a perfectionist. If you ever get around to checking them out, please do tell me how they are. And thanks for the compliments too.

Great ideas, though the rigs are kind of..... well, not bad, I've seen much worse, but given you're working with Pokemon models it's understandable.
Don't be afraid to add edge loops wherever you may need them, there is plenty of room leftover with Pokemon models. I was going to make Feraligatr over Charizard at one point, but, well, too late for that. ;_;

Edge loops I'm relatively new to 3ds max. Edge loops? Anything I can do to improve I will. And sorry about Feraligatr, when an idea pops in my head I tend to act on it.

at least the previews dont show the rigging errors. also, before checking any rig, here are some questions: -is this the first time you use 3ds max or any 3D software? -if not, how much experience do you have? -when you say a lot of time, how much REAL work time do you think you've spent approximately on a rig? EDIT: edge loops are "rings" of vertices, the easiest way to add them, is first making sure you have a edit poly modifier, now use the edge selection, select a ring of edges, right click, and select connect, this will make a new edge loop in the exact mid-point between it's 2 neighbours. model editting should always be a kinda big part in the process of importing a character to brawl, for proportions' sake.

This is my first time ever using 3ds, although I've tried to read as many tutorials as I can. And I usually spend two or three hours checking the rig to make sure it atleast looks okay in game. I know they aren't flawless, but I get them as close as I can with my knowledge. So edge loops do what, exactly? Does it make it so the vertices are all together throughout all movements?

Edge loops are pretty much what the name implies: loops of edges, heheh. Basically, you're adding more vertices in areas like joints and such so that they bend properly.
There are plenty of tutorials on this on Youtube and such, I really recommend digging up as much as you can. I mean, if you're interested in learning how to model or something.
Trust me, it gets pretty intuitive with some practice. I'm no pro, but I've pretty much taught myself everything I know by following tutorials made by people better than me. So yeah. Just a thought.
Looking forward to some more creative imports.

Why thank you, and I can attempt something like that, It's going to need some planning though.. Edge loops are pretty much what the name implies: loops of edges, heheh. Basically, you're adding more vertices in areas like joints and such so that they bend properly.

Thank you, and I have tried to watch and read as many tutorials as I can. I'll look more into the edge loops and such, anything to improve.

an important part of rigging is the blend tool, here is me rigging a character, take a look at it, it's only like 30 minutes total, and it includes all the trickies i use when i rig:

So a snowman over a plumber is strange, but a water creature with a bat stuck to it over a firebreathing reptile is awesome? Noted.
this made my day lol
