so, YY is replaced by the amount of characters u want to be in ur css. say, 8.
now the XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
lets say
00010203 04050607
that are the characters you want to replace. so for these 8 it could be:
00 Mario
01 Donkey Kong
02 Link
03 Samus
04 Zero Suit Samus
05 Yoshi
06 Kirby
07 Fox

Not all people have the luxury of being able to buy things whenever they want.
Some people are barely scraping by in the economy.

What if I don't want to REPLACE characters? I want to use the independent Pokémon Engine, and the other character codes...

If it helps you any, there is actually a download on the website that has a PAL version of the CSS with no character replacements as well as being able to select Shiek, Zero Suit Samus and all the Pokemon Trainer's individual pokemon.
The download is listed as 'Custom CSS PAL Codes'. You can find it on the website by scrolling though this page:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Moderated=1&Reported=All&Wifi=0&Name=*&ByUser=*&Credit=*&Info=*PAL*&Thumb1=*&Type=Misc*&TypeAlt=Misc&miscListing=*
(I take no credit for these codes! This was posted by dolmonm back in 2012 with the help of many others)
