I've noticed that some of my custom music plays fine on Riivolution, but on Gecko, some of the tracks turn into a bunch of static noise. I've heard there's a file size limit, but Idk what it is.

I think BRSTMs is the only exception to the filesize rule. Instead of it being relative to the default BRSTM, it'll be relative to how much space there is on your SD Card. Now that I've said that, I need to ask you this...

1). How big is your SD Card? Gecko only reads 2 Gigs of Data.
2). How much space is left in your SD Card?

I am using a 2 gig SD card and I currently have 631 mb of free space.

I have only about 100 mb free and no problems, but I did before have 4 copy's of "Period" from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's 4th opening and 7 copies of "Ready, Steady, Go!" from Fullmetal Alchemist's 1st opening on Castle Siege (I didn't know I could turn off what songs I didn't want so put a copy of either song over all 11 of the tracks for that stage).

On some of the tracks, the music would be VERY glitchy near the end, and one of them would bleed into "Hidden Palace Zone" that I had elsewhere on my SD. But some of them played fine, mainly the one over the first song in Castle Siege and the one over Ike's Theme. That might be the case. I'm not sure what triggers it, but I know it wasn't due to file size for me.

Have you replaced some BRSTMs directly? If so, you need to do 1 of 2 things...

1). Delete the Old BRSTM before placing the new one
2). Make sure you Eject the SD Card Properly

I simply add it to the strm folder and rename it to replace the track accordingly. What do you mean by deleting the old brstm?

That was for Aura Sphere's problem... Make your own help thread...

As for you, you still have quite the space... I honestly don't know what your problem is...

Apparently, defragging the card fixed everything. I'm going to go a little off topic, but I use the .bnk method to use sfx mods with Gecko. Would you happen to know the file size limit for .bnk's?

It doesn't really bother me, which is why I never made a thread. Deleting ths old brstm never helped anyway. Just certain tracks couldn't be hacked over lol.

The filesize for the .bnk files should ideally be equal to, or smaller than the normal character. What would help bring the filesize down is to make your SFX as short as possible, and lower the amount of samples (Hz) in the Sound.
