I've noticed more and more frequently my brstms developing clicks or popping sounds where there was none before. ie, I've been using them with no glitches for months. I've also noticed that just at the loop point of a track, there'll be a sudden glitch and silence for a few seconds, then the song loops.
Strangely, those same tracks are still fine on my SD card...

Any ideas why this could be happening (possible fragmentation)? Any ways to prevent this?

Back-up your sd card and format the sd card after all the files are moved. This is due to fragmentation like you stated but formatting it s the only way to fix it

As I said above, the SD card isn't the problem. I stay on top of it as far as formatting goes. The BRSTMs that are stored on my HDD are the ones being affected.

Forgive me as i read that wrong and was a solution to the inverse of what's happening

Could you give more details to the issue? Like when it started to occur?

Pretty much out of the blue, as I consistently use/listen to my brtms.
Though I've had it happen as early as 4ish years ago, it's also happened as recent as this week.

What's really odd is that I just recently redid my track list on my SD card and the files were fine on both HDD and my SD card.
