BrawlEx Freezing on ESRB Screen

I added a character to the normal version of Brawl (using Sammi Husky's Clone tool) and when I played it on my Wii it worked great the first time, but after that it always froze at the "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" screen that shows right after the Wii strap screen.

So after trouble shooting that problem for some time I figured I'd just download someone else's BrawlEx pack. Well, that worked well on the first run, but now it seems to freeze on ESRB screen about 95% of the time. It's odd that it works on rare occasions; not sure what'd cause something like that.

Is your hook set to AXNextFrame?

Yup. Not sure if this helps any, but when I was troubleshooting I found that when I had the hook type set to none it wouldn't freeze, but it'd load normal brawl without any hacks.
