what do you mean there are no buses in gensokyo?

Hello there! I'm kind of new here and I need some help. I've been into brawl hacking and 3d modeling in a while but I have never made a brawl hack of my own so I've messed things up a bit :<.

Anyway I wanted to import a character to brawl and my cousin requested I put Ilia, from Twilight Princess, over Peach. I'm using PMD editor to do all the rigging and editing since I'm a noob and I cant use programs like 3ds max e.t.c. I exported all of Peach's bones to PMD and put them on the original TLoZ Ilia model (also in PMD format, which had no bones or/and rigging) I didn't mess with them at all, I just rigged the model and then I replaced Peach's MDL0 model from her original PAC file using BrawlBox. I saved it both as a PAC and PCS. But when I turned on my Wii to check her out she was all messed up. For some reason both of her right limbs are distorted ( they move all right but it looks like somebody puked all over her polygons Cry ) Her left side and head are fine, perfect actually, which is kind of weird o-o
(Ignore the incredibly bright colors, I know how to fix that)

In MMD and BrawlBox she looked fine, she didn't seem to have some problem. Anyway here are some pictures:








If somebody knows how to fix this plz tell me :3

    When vertex editing was the new way to mod I seem to recall similar issues. It was fixed by re-importing the model with das donkey vertex box 2.0, which was updated to apply the "patch"
    *cough, enough with the history lesson. Here's my tutorial thread which gives (I like to think) a easy guide to rigging with 3ds max. Once you get over the initial intimidation of using a professional program it's much easier then MMD. In regards to your issue, you most likely can't tell how good your rig is by just moving to bones in BB. Run one of Peach's animations and watch where the issue in game lies. Also since peach has a dress some of the dress bones may be weighted to he legs on that side. If all else fails, re-import it into BB and save again. Sometimes that's the easiest fix.

    I re-imported the model into BB at least 5 times, I don't think that's gonna work OTL
    I tested her rigging in both BB and MMD. It's not Peach's skirt bones, I checked all of them.

    Anyway, thank you very much for answering! I'll check das donkey vertex box and your tutorial (even though I don't think I will ever get used to 3ds max XD)

    Did you try moving all the bones on the left side, and seeing if the right side moves at all? Because maybe you could have one object attached to two bones.(Like her arms)

    If an object is also attached to an arm it would explain why moving the legs shows no error.

    It's not her rigging, I have tested all of her bones in 3 different programs. If you could see how she moves in brawl you would understand this doesn't have to do with the model's bones. It's like her polygons became distorted for no reason...

    I haven't checked das donkey or Shinobu's tutorial yet. I'm hoping das donkey will fix the problem. I'll also try importing the model in dae format (even though her textures become messed up whenever I try)

    Im pretty sure the PMD importer is busted, just import it as a DAE, expand the model, click on each shader, and make sure TextureRef0 is set to true

    Ahhh, I should have made it clear in the beginning, but das donkey vertex box won't be of help here. That was just a little histiry, the vertex box does what it says, edits vertices.
    I seemed to have missed the part about the pmd importing. To prevent weird and unknown issues work with it as a dae file type.

    Yeah, I think the pmd importer is messed up. I can't find another explanation...
    The thing is whenever I try to convert the model in .dae format something goes wrong. Either the model's size changes or the textures go crazy or the rigging gets all fcked up. I'll try again though.
