Custom CSS and Common5

hey,

So my brawl randomly freezes for no reason when I enter the brawl option in the game to play w/ other people.

I am using a common5.pac that I made myself.

I have been trying to locate the problem by adding one segment at a time.  I was able to load in my CSPs, but I cannot change the items inside misc data 30 without it crashing.

Also, I tried importing the data from misc data 70 from a different CSS to mine because I liked the pictures, but this caused a crash as well.

The strangest thing is that I just put in my data from misc data 30, but only the custom CSPs loaded, not the data from there, which is odd because they are in the same common5.pac

is there a way to check that...and i assume you mean the data of the common5?

why would it corrupt only sometimes then?

I would try downloading a fresh common5 then just do what you've already done, try one bit at a time until it effs up. What were you trying to mess with in the miscdata30/70 (The only thing I ever mess with in common5 is the portraits so I'm not familiar with what those partitions affect)

the misc data 30 affects the name over the CSPs and in misc data 70 it changes the name and picture for the little token selector that your hand grabs to pick the characters....thanks for the advice tho ill try that
