Hey. People like money. People don't always do things for free. Cool, cool. Alright. So. Say I want a model and someone who can make the model wants money. Is it allowed to pay for these things? Do I have to do it privately? I don't have the skills to model an entire character by myself. That's all. So is it wrong to donate to someone who makes a hack for you? Or nah.

I am highly certain that it is illegal to request paying someone to do it. However, people on here who model like to do it for free anyways.

However, only if they have enough interest to do it. And most of them are arrogant with you, unless you're a friend of them.

I honestly don't see a problem with someone to make a model and get paid for it. However, if you ask them to hack it into the game for money, then it's illegal.

Well, paying the guy to hack it would give him the profit, therefore making the same effect of illegality. That's why.

That's the great difference.

In other words, LURK MORE. In other news, birds fly, sun shines, fishes swim, and the sky is [censored]ing BLUE. 3. ... You seriously don't know who Clinton is? If only hacking Brawl paid bills. O snap But you are in a Smash Bros. thread. You can't have an opinion here.

Just do your deal in private, and most importantly, keep in mind the forum takes no responsibility if either the customer or the hacker gets ripped off. That means if [censored] hits the fan, you'll have to solve it on your own, and not raise a fuss here.PS: That's the kind of thing you should probably ask the staff and not the generally legally-uninformed userbase, btw. Moderation Corner and PMs are the prime way to reach us, if you have any other questions of the sort. I am highly certain that it is illegal to request paying someone to do it. However, people on here who model like to do it for free anyways.

There's a person on these forums getting paid to program so I don't see why modeling would be any different.

Look here to see why; in fact, what I said here: He's not making Brawl hacks for money, he's programming the program used to make hacks. There's a difference. BlackJax agreed with that statement. So yes, my quote kind of explains the difference.

No, it's still completely irrelevant.
1- Simply building models is perfectly legal. 2- Hacking of any sort is indeed infringing copyrights and other hardware protection legislations, but the question was not about legality but about whether KCMM allows the practices or not, which we do. 3- Money-making literally has nothing to do with the legality of things. We ask for people to be discreet for other reasons. 4- Yes, people sometimes do it for free. The person is asking in the case of payments though, so that second sentence was pointless.

Well then, if there's anyone out there that would like to help me with a high quality model then let me know. I'm looking for one still.
