HELP ME PLEASE

My smash isnt working at all. it crashes right before i get to the css, can some one help and check my files? and tell me whats wrong and how to fix it or fix it for me? it could possibly be because i put linda over toon link and link over diddy (dont judge me, i dont like him as a character) I really want to keep those so if theres something you can do to help me

Im a fairly new hacker here on the vault. Csp, texture, Css, sss, battle portraits, i will take requests for those. (once in a while stage editor parts)

It most likely is that, especially if all you did was rename the files from FitLink.... to FitDiddy...

That would cause a crash. Try .rel porting Link to Diddy instead. I'm sure someone else who sees this topic will know how. :)

I Renamed link's .rel to Diddy, Toon Link and Pikmin (I replaced him too now) and it still doesnt work

If you have Linda over Toon Link and Link over Diddy Kong, I don't think Linda needs a .rel, unless she defaultly goes over another character. And I believe the proper way to do .rel porting in your case is to copy Diddy Kong's .rel and rename it to the name of Link's .rel.

Depends; is it a skin(i.e. a model import, a vertex, or a texture) or is it a PSA(character animations with maybe a skin)? If it's just a skin, you can put it over one of the Link palettes; like FitLink00.pac/.pcs for Link's default costume, for example, or FitLink01.pac/.pcs for his red costume.

No, i know that, i just like Regular link and id prefer to put Linda over toon link and diddy, and now olimar (so i take all of links original files, put them in toon link, olimar, and diddy's folder)
and i think i may have found out what im missing, a few codes that change certain things like the ability to limb walls or something (found in Marth/ Roy over Diddy V4)

Then I'm not sure; .rel-porting is supposed to work. Worst comes to worst, you could always get Nebulon's BrawlEx pack and put Linda's files over one of Link's clones.

Btw, did you first check to see if those were the actual problem files? I can't believe I didn't think of that earlier. Just remove 'em, see if it still crashes, and if it doesn't crash, then those files are the problem.

Just gonna but in in for a second. Are you using riivolution or gecko? The file structure is just a tiny bit different. Something to do with the xml or whatever.

Linda is just a vertex over link, i want the regular brawl link psa and moveset over olimar, diddy and toon link.
