ORIGINAL POST BY INTERNETEXPLORER

This code allows you to replace sound effects using only the File Patch Code. No need for USB loading or setting up Riivolution. Gecko users can now have custom sfx!

Replacement SoundBank Engine (RSBE)
(v1.11)

RSBE is an addition to the File Patch Code which allows SFX files to be loaded from the SD card. Using a mod of Super Sawndz, you can create .bnk files and put them onto your SD card for easy SFX loading. This works for any soundbank including characters, menus, announcer, you name it!

Background

Hey, everyone! I'm InternetExplorer, a developer of Project M and SSBM Online. After many months of hard work, my greatest contribution to the Brawl modding community is complete. A warm thanks goes to Dantarion for helping me past a few hurdles.
Although SFX replacement has previously been possible with Riivolution, RSBE provides a streamlined way of creating and sharing soundbanks in a way that is as simple and effective as it is to share costumes, music, etc. I am excited to see some of the soundbanks our talented Brawl modders can design.

NOTE: Remember that there is a file size limit. Making too large of a soundbank will freeze the game, so try to use sound effects that are equal or shorter in length to the default sounds.

Thanks, and enjoy!

2  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / SOJ's Stages - Totally didn't release Skyloft ;) on: January 29, 2012, 09:45:33 PM
SOJ's Stages

Hey guys I've been planning on releasing a bunch of stages I've made edits to.  Feedback would be greatly appreciated.  I release my stages in collaboration with Vanguard so they will be posted through his account, but I will use this thread as a communication hub to show you what I'm working on and get ideas from you guys.

Released Stages

Neutral Warioware (Nutty Noon background)

The original WarioWare Inc. had a boring background, so I decided to shoot it off into space. Not only is the background new, but I adjusted the boundries to give players a little bit more leeway while recovering from the bottom. The stage originally goes over battlefield, but comes with a rel to go over WarioWare. Enjoy.  This is the original Neutral Warioware.

Saffrule Stage Pack

A combination of Saffron City and Hyrule Castle originally made by libertyernie. Works over anything Hyrule Castle worked over.

This stage has been redesigned for gameplay to 'flow' better.

* Three versions of Saffrule: Small, medium, and large
* The left side of Hyrule has been copied and pasted onto the right side, removing the tent from Hyrule on the small and medium versions
* Saffron's hovering platforms perform differently on each version to fit the flow of the stage
* Stage boundaries have been adjusted accordingly, in the spirit of competitive play.

Note: This stage is not currently part of Project:M. The video is only to showcase the stage.

Lost Woods

This is the modification of the original Lost Woods stage made by Akrio.  Features include:
*Shy guys have been changed to fairies.
*Removed the body from the platform guys on the left and right so it's just a platform.
*Removed snow texture.
*Added in the skull kid (thanks to Beyond) with a minor animation.
*Added in fairy sprites (thanks to Link40 & BlackBoo)

Stage Previews

Skyloft

With help from Nymph, I was able to rip Skyloft from Skyward Sword.  Besides lighting tweaks and transparent texture issues, it's almost done.  I'm going to release it first as Temple:M with a Skyloft background and then eventually make an original stage out of it.

I'm only putting those stages up right now, but I have a lot more in progress.  Stay tuned for more!
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Textures screwing up on: October 29, 2011, 02:41:59 AM
Ok so I'm importing a new stage into Brawl and so far it's coming along well.  I've got the whole stage in with all it's textures, and it looks good, except there's one problem.  The textures seem to have some weird effects.  They look fine when playing, but when you pause and press b, they suddenly are all lighter.  They also turn black when someone shields and flash red when someone falcon punches.  I have no idea why this is happening...has this ever happened to someone else where textures are affected by other parts of the game?
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Animation help on: June 25, 2011, 05:48:31 PM
Hey guys.  Quick question.  Is it possible to copy and paste whole groups of keyframes?  I have a chr0 file that has about 150 frames, and each bone has a keyframe every other frame.  I want to extend the frames for the chr0, but once I do I need to make the keyframes repeat for all the minor bones, but that would be a pain to copy each one.  Does someone have a good method of accomplishing this, maybe in a hex editor?

Thanks in advance!
