1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: I Need Help Cloning Charcters without the Clone Tool on: October 31, 2017, 04:49:46 AM
...I'm just going to ignore that.

What are you talking about? You've been "[ignoring] that" for the last 7 months. This thread came out in February this year, and He's just now getting help. If it wasn't for his bump, neither one of you would've come to assist them (I know from experience), and if He had bumped his topic one more time, He would've got warned.

I'm not sure if you can see it, but I have a "Warned" under My name... Guess how I got it? Trying to get help. Yes, the moderators punished me for trying to get my thread seen because they, alongside the staff--were too incompetent and selfish to assist me. Next time you're here, take a deep look at all of the threads on this site of which haven't been posted on; They're many in number.
The spoiler below contains my replies to the-myuutsu (since it doesn't relate to the current topic).

Don't act pompous like you were actually contributing to this thread; If it weren't for his bump and my post, He would've been completely ignored. Maybe this would've applied had you responded in February, but I presume you were preoccupied with serving yourself (either that, or he was of low priority to you).
I have no idea what to say about this bit. What agendas are you talking about here?I can see why you'd have beef with Br3, but why me?

Because everyday, while other people's threads get ignored and plunged into obscurity, "KingJigglypuff's Throne Room" and all of Ricky's threads are constantly getting more views/replies; and not just from anyone, but the OP's themselves. During that time that you consumed uploading your latest Ridley edits, you could've been using it to help the people that needed it. Rather than constantly checking on your "throne", You could've assisted your people, or at least have used your influence to find them help; That's what a real "king" would do.
the people who view this thread wouldn't know what to do. They're more than likely seeing if they're the only ones with the issue they're personally experiencing. Even then, there's numerous ways one could address an issue, depending on how much the user knows when it comes to the area of modding.

And this is a problem with the people; I'm unsure if it can be "fixed", but it only further cripples the image of this site; It's like watching a beggar on the road and "passing by" because you don't want to drop your two cents (in this case, even a reply of uncertainty would suffice).
People giving those "2 cent" posts would help Brawl Vault's threads significantly; Not only would it "legally" bump the threads and provide some support to the OP (even if it's conjecture), but would also create an illusion of "popularity", which could lure some of those selfish... users--and, eventually, lead to someone who could provide help.
You're not wrong here. This very complaint is shared by the more experienced modders.

And rather than using your influence and popularity to assist those in need, you simply continue uploading. Because the truth, from a psychological perspective--is that it feels good. It feels good to have one of the highest view counts on the site. It feels good to continuously get replies and veneration to this day. To be "popular" and "powerful", and you don't want to lose what you have; It's too valuable to you... After all, the projects must be made.
It doesn't need you fear mongering users because you're upset over getting called out over your use of clickbait.

There's more examples than these three, but they're either older than a month, or have been removed.

Nice circumstantial manipulation there. It seems as though you forgot to mention all of these threads

All of which are relevant, honest threads (and outnumber your mentioned ones too).
And maybe I wouldn't have had to use "clickbait" if people would've helped me when I first asked. As you even admitted; people are selfish.

But another reason why you, specifically, are at fault, is because this exact quote;
It doesn't need you fear mongering users because you're upset over getting called out over your use of clickbait.

This means that not only were you aware of the threads, but you actually viewed them (and in some cases, locked/removed them), and yet, after all of that time, You never once helped me. You were actually able to recognize the threads, but I was too low a priority for you. You all forced me to employ clickbait because you were too lazy and inconsiderate to assist me when I asked honestly. The only reason you're even a mod right now is because of your Throne Room thread.
Let's also not forgot my "coworker" and friend (who I'll leave unnamed. In respect to them, follow suit), who also asked for helped on another site; Neither you nor that incompetent Project M modder batted an eye to him either. That's why I'm probably never going to make an account on that pathetic site; It can rot too.

Even if you didn't find somebody to help me, you could've at least asked the question yourself, and your popularity would've lended itself to further replies and activity. I'm sure that there are thousands of coders who would jump at the chance to assist the "Legendary" KingJigglypuff, but instead the wheels must keep turning. The workshop must keep moving. The projects must keep coming, and you, along with the other staff--spare [little] time for anyone else.

If a moderator can click the "lock" or "delete" buttons, then they can most assuredly click this little box and type in a reply to help.

The most interesting part is, with that one code, we (me and the team I'm working for) could probably revive this site. It's a simple task, really, but as long as we're stuck on Phase 1, we cannot progress to Phase 2.

For the first tip on improving this site; improve the layout. This site still looks like it was made in 2009. Of course no one would want to go here in 2017. Also, delete the child threads, and allow all content in the main threads. If you cannot do this, take it to an admin.

That alone will increase activity and productivity, as well as social quality. After that, I just need that code, then I can do what is unique to me.

Ultimately, without us, this site will die. You can roll out all the mods that you want, but nothing will save it; Smash 2, Smash 3, Smash 4; Try everything, They will all fail (as many already have). Unlike these sorry individuals, I, alongside (most) of my team, have a very crucial advantage that not a member on this site has. I won't reveal it, but it's exactly what this site needs. Before we can unravel it, however, we need that code.

Regardless, I'm glad that the OP is finally getting the help that he needs. The fountain of charity is still running, even if it must be forced.

This mod will not succeed if you continue to advertise it as yourself. Change your name to the name of your mod, and present it in a coherent and professional way. If you want this mod to make it past your bedroom, you need to start thinking like a pro.
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: I Need Help Cloning Charcters without the Clone Tool on: October 29, 2017, 03:18:34 PM
I'm sorry, but you will not get help here. This site is filled with a bunch of lazy and incompetent administrators and mods who care nothing about normal users and are only interested in furthering their own agendas (KingJigglypuff and Ricky come to mind). Unfortunately, you may never get help for this, and will have to figure it out on your own.

I wish I could help, but unfortunately, I cannot. Keep in mind this thread has, as of writing, been viewed 250 times, and not one of those viewers cared so much as to even say they couldn't help. That shows you the sheer selfishness of the users here. Meanwhile, Calikingz Projects, Kingjigglypuff's Projects, and anybody else's Projects are getting thousands of views and activity to this day, because people love being served rather than serving.

Admittedly, this post was as much a rant as it was an answer, but hopefully when you need help again, you'll remember what I told you and instinctively look elsewhere. This site can rot alongside it's incompetent staff and selfish users.

What that said, I hope you find the help you need, but it very likely won't come from here.

Happy Smashing.

There are a lot of very complex and interesting hacks on the vault.

Question: Are any of you here coders? Just curious.

Please provide an example of the action disable code. Also, there are two "StatusID"s on Dantarion, so not specifying which one may confuse users.

8  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / [New Homebrew Development] "NHAIE" on: September 17, 2017, 09:27:48 PM
New Homebrew Alteration allowing for Improved Exploitation

What is NHAIE? NHAIE (pronounced Nigh-E, after Mewtwo's Confusion) is a special Homebrew-Computer Hybrid Application that targets and exploits the Wii's Channel Loading Functionality to perpetually "patch" Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Computer version is used to edit/expand upon the iso, which in turn gets sent onto an SD Card, and, once loaded by NHAIE (Homebrew Version) gets written into the Console's Memory, in which afterwards, the aforementioned exploit takes place.

The benefit to this is that an SD Card (and Homebrew Channel) are only required for one time, in which afterwards, the game will automatically "patch" Brawl. This, combined with it's other benefits, allows for not only an easier, but superior Smashing experience.

Current Unique Capabilities
 * Smash Hacking no longer has to be ran through Gecko or the Homebrew Channel after using NHAIE.
 * The second half of Brawl's Disc (SSE) can be replaced with another mod, allowing for two mods on one non-homebrew'/smashstacked disc (this is currently activated by holding R before loading the game).
 * Allows for integrated Wiimmfi, providing the feeling of a more authentic Smash Bros.
 * Has an optional "reboot" feature that will revert your files to Vanilla Brawl by holding L before loading the game.
 * Currently supports adding new characters without the Clone Engine, as well as unique unlock requirements, GFXs, SFXs, and more.
 * Allows creation of Custom Actions and SubActions (CASA) along with special triggers for them (e.g. Mario presses A+B to shoot a Mix Flower Fireball). This is also compatible with Boss Characters.
 * Allows for advanced attribute editing (e.g. Gliding, Crawling, Attack100, Kirby Hats, etc.)
 * Can increase the filesize limit for multiple characters (PokeZenigame, PokeLizardon, and PokeFushigisou are currently incompatible).
 * Can create extra data "pockets" in characters (allowing for article creation, new Smash Taunts, etc)
 * (Optional) provides deactivated Smashstack files that are activated by holding Z/ZL when selecting Stage Builder, allowing for a third modded Smash Bros. game
 * (Compliments aforementioned attribute) all non-overwritten files get restored to their unhacked states when using the new Smashstack, preventing data from one mod from overlapping with another
 * Allows for advanced menu editing, providing possibilities for things like changing Basic Brawl rules and more.
 * (Optional) Provides option to enable the Home Button during WiFi, allowing for instant desynchronization
 * Allows for custom Item creation. NHAIE automatically adds a code that sets their specific frequency to 0 when online.
 * Allows for Custom Object creation, providing a means of adding collectibles to the game.
 * Allows for Custom Mode creation (e.g. Vault -> Trophy Shop) and supports custom functions for them (e.g. pay X amount of Y to get Z)
 * Allows for Equipment Creation (doesn't work like Smash 4), allowing for certain effects to occur during battle (e.g. lollipop equipment heals holder

Work In Progress (W.I.P.)
 * Allow access to a Custom Server that enables special privileges beyond what Wiimmfi offers.
 * Provide a Custom Internal ID-creation Protocol (CIIDP) and Custom Internal ID Registration Service (CIIDRS) (e.g. Mod creator sets their Custom Internal ID to a 12-digit code (3A8901FF8ECD) and can upload it to a specialized server)
 * Provide a Custom Key_Ver Creation Protocol and Custom Key_Ver-Registration service allowing for custom key-vers(ions) for With Anyone (e.g. "Smash Hack" could create and register "SbxDefA9B2 _O") and allow for alternate, specified key_vers(ions) to be sent when holding R while selecting Basic Brawl or Team Battle.
 * Provide a means of binding and registering the Custom ID and Custom Key_Ver for maximum variance and security (e.g. "Smash Hack" creates a Custom Internal ID "3A8901FF8ECD", and a Custom Key_Ver "SbxDefA9B2 _O", and binds them, so whenever a user with the ID "3A8901FF8ECD" holds R on Basic Brawl or Team Battle, the Key_Ver "SbxDefA9B2 _O" gets sent, allowing for specialized, authentic, and anonymous global play, preventing clashes with Brawl's WiFi/Key_Vers and allowing for a fuller and richer gameplay experience).
 * Provide an Online Messaging system, allowing for the distribution of messages in both With Anyone and With Friends, whilst preventing these messages from showing up in unmodded Brawls.
 * Provide a Win-Log/Points system for use with "Leaderboards" that is connected to Wins/Performance (e.g. winning a 3 Stock Battle 3-0 may provide 750 points, while winning 3-2 may only provide 250 points)
 * Provide a Leaderboards system to show current rankings.
 * Provide a Smasher Ranking system for use with "Player Rankings" and custom rules for it (No Ranking is allowed; If you choose to rank, the winner(s) can rank their ally(s)/opponent(s) +1-+5, however, the loser can only rank their ally(s)/opponent(s) +2-+5, with +1 being unavailable).
 * Provide an option to disable all of the aforementioned ranking systems.
 * Provide an (optional) means of binding Leaderboards/Player Rankings to custom mods, so as to ensure accurate and relevant rankings
 * Provide a means to create a Brawler ID that is bound to NHAIE and applicable to Smash, so as to ensure the maintenance of all online stats even in case of save deletion.
 * Provide a means to edit and delete Brawler IDs if one feels the need.
 * Provide a means of hiding all Brawler IDs and names (including your own), to allow for an anonymous experience.
 * Provide a means of being able to play Custom Stages Online in a similar manner to Smash 4.

Todo
 * Make the Computer interface easier and more comprehensive for beginners.
 * Create a mechanic that warns the user of any unstable/corrupted files at startup, and offer a means of overwriting them with the originals.
 * Release Preview (Video or Image).
 * Convince people to reinvest in Brawl (particularly the Smash 4 audience).

Release Date
TBA (Hopefully soon)

Once the bugs are fixed and the additional features are added, it should be suitable for release. This has the potential to completely change Brawl Hacking and bring Brawl as a game back into relevance. This should serve as a reminder that the Brawl Hacking community is not dead, and that this game still has much value.

When this gets released, I'm sure it'll be worth it, in the meantime, keep on Brawling!

This post was updated this year on March, 2017. What changed?

Also, please make an update that fixes the co-op crashing glitch. It affects Wifi too, which means no Friend Battles, Beta Testing, etc.

Originality isn't a problem at this point so much as lifespan. A new, original Smash Mod is in development (will reveal more as release gets closer), however, if the game dies preceding or during launch, it is pointless.

If this mod is released successfully, it will kill Brawl Minus and possibly Smash 2.
15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Is Brawl Vault dead? Sure doesn't feel like it. on: July 30, 2017, 12:00:59 PM
To be honest, Smash 4 just feels like a cheaper, less significant version of Brawl. It's sad how unintelligent people are mindlessly flocking to that game just because it's in "HD", and it's "New".

Brawl will always have the most hacking potential; Melee's code is too convoluted, and Smash 4's needlessly dramatic and superfluous design too heavily conflicts with the simplistic, spontaneous gameplay of Melee that any PM Mod attempted for it will look like an awkward mess.

Smash 4's goofy and extravagant design also prevents the development of nostalgia (I'm sure you all still smile when thinking of those old Cloud, Sephiroth, and Shadow hacks) because, unlike Brawl, which simply tries to be a game, Smash 4 constantly tries to impose itself on it's players and be "epic".

One thing is for certain in that once the 5th Installment of the Smash Bros. Franchise launches, the people in the Smash 4 boards won't be having the same conversation that we're having today.

There won't just be talk of death, Smash 4 will surely die.

So, in that, take confidence--in knowing that with but a small amount of perseverance, we, players of a game that was shunned by the world, can outlive even it's replacement.

Now, with that; Continue modding as you were.
