1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Wii 4.3 and Disc unplayability. on: July 30, 2010, 05:47:47 PM
Well, My wii won't read discs anymore, I don't know why, but it wont.
I used smash stack on an ISO, installing homebrew0.7 and updated to 4.3 ((I want to have wiiconnect24 for personal reasons))
I can no longer use USB loader, or Wad manager on my wii, and the disc drive is still broken.
When I try to load wad manager, USB loader ect, The wiimote turns off.
I can't get past the startup screen for USB loader either.
And without those I cannot use my brawl hacks.
Is there a way to downgrade my menu to 4.2 again, without using a game?
My wii is also not completely bricked, it plays VCs and emulators, so is there a homebrew app that would let me load the code?
It would probably need Gamecube controller support as well.
Thanks.
this happened to mine but this was when i had 4.0 but it was because my sister dropped it it stoped reading so i uninstalled hombrew before sending it in
it cost 80$ but if they cant fix it they send you a new wii so back up your save games and the ones that use wifi and you can backup use the hombrew app that allows you to backup any game hope i could help Cheesy
I have savegame manager, so I'll back up everything.
Delete everything
Then send it to nintendo.
By the way, are LU64 and up wiis hackable now?

My wii's disc reader recently broke  .  I have absolutely no idea how, but it did.  I got CoverFloader, and re-downloaded all of the game I had.  The only problem is that Gecko doesn't boot Individual games from Coverfloader, but the channel itself.  As far as I know the only solutions are to
A) Make Brawl a channel
B) Use the other method of brawl hacking.  ((I don't know how, if someone could tell me it would be greatly appreciated))
<_<

Use Neogamma, USB Loader GX, or USB Loader Configurable. They all have ocarina built in.
Alright.  two more questions then.
A) Which do YOU prefer
B) Is there a Specific cIOS that I need?  I have cIOS36
I personally would use USB Loader CFG. It's stable and has a nice "coverflow" setup like CoverFloader.

You'll be fine with cIOS36.
I'm looking at the installation instructions and it's telling me that it uses IOS249 and IOS222.  Are you sure cIOS36 will work?  ((Sorry about all the questions, the wii's not only mine though, so I don't want to brick it. D: ))
<_<

cIOS36 is IOS249. It's called cIOS36 because it uses IOS36 as a base when installing, but the actual IOS is installed in IOS249.

You'll be fine. Also, what version of cIOS36 do you have?
CIOS rev 10.
If thats it, then I get it now.   Thanks for explaining that to me ^^;;
cIOS rev10? That's pretty old. You don't have to, but I'd recommend at least having rev16.
Okay, so I'd just use Wad manager right?
<_<

No, you DL the installer and run it from the homebrew channel.
Okay, thanks XD
I've been trying to learn more about this stuff e-e
It's somewhat confusing.

Oh goodie ^^ i've got some suggestions.

- Make him slide a bit (less than CC shadow but more than sonic)
- Make him fall slower and have more air mobility
-Make him a bit slower than sonic (Based off of SA2)

Moves
Neu B ground-  Light speed attack~ Like the homing attack, except he hits for less damage and knockback, but hits multiple times.
NeuB Air- Same as ground but he heads for the center of the stage (not cheaply, same distance as sonic's homing attack can reach.)
Side B- Chaos spear~ have him throw energy that homes in on opponents?  low knockback, maybe stun?
Down B- Chaos Boost-  Let him charge up for 1-3 secs and gain a boost in power, speed, ect for a bit if it's successful. Maybe cover him in fire like king Bowser?
Up B- Chaos Control- teleport up, no spring and the end is sonic's Finalsmash end animation.
Final smash- chaos Blast-  A huge, slow explosion, destroying everything it hits.

Umm, in SA2 Shadow and Sonic were the EXACT same speed, I know, I have the game and have tested multiple times

Your misconception probably stems from not turning the handicap off, which DOES affect a player's speed, but only to help people who are bad do better

Ah, that'd be where my issue comes in.  Then just more slippery and more mobile in the air?
