I changed a couple of things and tried a search, and it worked. Let me know if it's still not working for you, and I can maybe try some other solutions.
Unrelated to BrawlVault stuff, but there's an issue that's always bugged me.
It's when a code bracket is put inside a Spoiler. If a code bracket is put inside a spoiler, it scrunches up. This serves to be an issue when a large code is put inside a spoiler to prevent the page from being huge.
Both of your examples look exactly the same to me.
With any luck, this change will do away with the site errors for good. We've got more processing power, more space, more of everything we need.
As always with these moves, though, there's bound to be a little weirdness. If you run into any errors while browsing the forum, post here and let me know, and I'll fix them when I can.
The database backup I used to do the transfer was made around 3 a.m. EST (about 13 hours ago). Any posts, BrawlVault activity, etc. that happened between then and now was lost. Sorry about that.
The blog didn't survive the trip. Press "F" to pay respects. We'll be taking a new approach for featuring the best our community has to offer. More on that later.
If you uploaded an avatar instead of linking it from somewhere else, looks like something broke and they aren't loading anymore. New uploads work fine.
BrawlVault might give you some "Internal Server Error" pages right now. I know about it and I'm working on it. Please don't post about that here.
Well, actually, no, that is a bug. I didn't know a whole lot of PHP when I made that modification, and while I changed the display of messages to only include ones that start a topic, I didn't modify the part of the page that builds the list windhunter is talking about. So that number still represents total posts, not just topics started.
I changed it now, though. (After some hilarious issues with my FTP client that broke the whole site, of course.)
Tagging is one of the next features I plan to implement, alongside a simpler search.

Idea 2
A "Direct to SD" marker is a good idea. We've already had an idea for a Homebrew app, but it was a lot more robust, and it never panned out. If I did add a "Direct to SD" indicator, a third party should be able to create something simple like you described.
all I need is the code for the Vault Search, and the Vault itself
No.
I should add that the main obstacle to adding both of those features (tagging, "Direct to SD") is inertia. At this point, there are so many entries that would probably never get updated to benefit from these that, arguably, it's not even worth doing them.
