Pat Blandman, the announcer for Smash 4 sounds worse.

Holy crap! They've done! They got an even worse voice actor to be the announcer for Smash 4 D:<
If I was in charge, I would slap Pat across the face and hire Dean Harrington (Melee) to be the Announcer in SSB4

It's just a matter of preference. Everyone has one, and I'm sure he's not the only one who likes Brawl SFX Smiley
50 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: Super Smash Bros. Melee Remastered Demo v1.0 on: August 11, 2014, 02:34:41 PM
You first need to download the original Project M.
Delete all sawnd files and add the ones from the original Project M.

Melee sounds are not annoying, they are NOSTALGIC. Cry

But well, as you wish.

I uploaded the full demo again, but this time it has Brawl SFX. I deleted my half-assed patch because I remembered that some users don't really know how to manage files in Brawl. Instead of making a tutorial, I just said "screw it" and uploaded a different one entirely.

Does it work for the Hacked version?

I mean, with Homebrew and Gecko?

No, but I will release a "hacked" version for those who use Gecko or stuff like that

Super Smash Bros. Melee Remastered 2.5

http://youtu.be/_GrM3Sm45YM

Major Fixes

- Tweaked Melee Adventure to improve sequences
- New Stages, Costumes, and Re-designed characters
- Corrected effects
- Re-done items
- New trophies
- Corrected Giant Bowser (he was missing a horn)
- Fixed Project M models

Character Changes

- Nearly all characters have been optimized. Spec maps and some textures were reduced.
- Unnecessary textures (Meta Knight's broken mask, Sonic's specs, etc) were removed
- The following characters were re-designed:
Sonic - removed his shaders, and fixed the models to be more user-friendly.

Zero Suit Samus - textures are less saturated and face looks more realistic.

Meta Knight - default costume is now based on his modern colors.

Toon Link - completely new design. More Toon, less Young.

New Costumes

Alternate Version: Light

This is a more compacted edition of SSBMR 2.5. Each character has 4, 5, or 6 costumes. Due to the reduced number of costumes, CSPs are now a better format, making for a more presentable and neat Character Selection Screen. It has new & exclusive costumes.

Alternate Version: Competitive

This one is the same as the Light version, but has all Project M 3.6 stages and movesets. Ideal for those who play competitively or who are interested in taking it to tournaments.

SSBMR 2.5 Bug Report Thread

If you've encountered a bug, error, or glitch in Super Smash Bros. Melee Remastered 2.5, SSBMR 2.5 Light, or SSBMR 2.5 Competitive, please report it in the comments below. Make sure to mention what version of the game you played.

Known Issues

- *All* Giant DK and Giant Bowser have weird ledge grab collisions
- *All* Daisy Peach has strange lighting on her flower shoulder pads
- *All* Stage portraits in Stage Switch will have incorrect portraits for some stages

- *Light* Event #17 King of the Jungle will freeze the game
- *Light* Event #18 Link's Adventure will have Brawl's Dark Link portraits and model
- *Light* Event #4 A Skyworld Engagement will have Brawl's Pit portrait and model

- *Full & Light* Zelda, Sheik, and Ganon have their Project M 3.02 movesets
- *Full & Light* Event # 37 The Great Bay Lab, Yoshis will keep spawning, even though the description says to KO them when the turtle sinks

- Stock Icons will have a different pose from the CSP. This was done on purpose

- Melee Battlefield and Final Destination may randomly show strange textures (especially if using Metal Luigi)
- The Rest Area for Boss Battles is the same as Brawl

- Trophy Icons (the ones you pick up) are the same as Brawl. I couldn't figure out where to change those.
- In Event Matches, You will play as Ivysaur even though the icon shows Mewtwo

- In the Special Modes menu, the Bunny Hood, Flower and other icons will display off of Mario's body
- The announcer still says "All Star Mode" in "Melee Adventure"

Ooooh! Yeah, I'll change those as well.

Like the stock icons? Is so, yes, I'll make them like melee

Btw (again) are you going to make CSS portriats (the portraits that you put your marker on to select)?

If you mean CSPs at the Character Selection Screen? Yes.
57 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: AlGeorgeRomo: Remastered Melee Texture Hacks on: July 20, 2014, 01:24:01 PM
By the way, are you going to make it so the sounds are like melee's (i.e. the menus, slashing, jabbing, etc.)? P.S. You know that every time Link double jumps with the sound mod, it echos?

Amazerommu already did that, and I'll include it in the Melee Remastered Pack
58 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: AlGeorgeRomo: Remastered Melee Texture Hacks on: July 15, 2014, 08:41:02 PM
I have encountered a problem with a melee texture hacl. Whenever i choose link and play a match towards the end, the game freezes right after the screen goes to black. I am EXTREMELY sad my game doesnt like melee link, probably because link isnt compatible with project m...

Melee Link should be compatible with Project M because that model is from Project M. The PMBR made it.

1. Be sure that you have both the .pac and .pcs file for all the recolors
2. Did you change the "this game's winner is" portraits at the results screen?
3. It could be your Results Screen Stage
4. or maybe the opponents were faulty
5. Make sure that if you have FitLink.pac, have the .sawnd file as well as the included FitLinkMotion.pac.
59 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: AlGeorgeRomo: Remastered Melee Texture Hacks on: July 07, 2014, 05:14:56 PM
I've notice that you have your own Fit*char*.pac files, What do they change from the originals?
Link's Navi taunt has no sound, Fox and Falco taunts have awkward voice options.

Indeed, that file is meant to go with the Melee sound effects. That's one of the changes I'm going to make on all my hacks. Put the .pac file with the sound file for those who don't want the voice mods.

I see you don't have the Toon Link Remastered Help needed section in the OP anymore. Does this mean that you're working on it now?

Not exactly. That post has been up for a really long time, and only a few people have volunteered to help. Those people are helping with the model, voice, etc. I don't want to pressure them, which is why I try not to ask them things like "Are you done?" It's also the reason why I don't post anything regarding Toon Link.
