1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Projet M Codes on: April 28, 2014, 11:29:57 PM
I have a question about Turbo mode.

I tried the codes Sonic Brawler put in, and they work like a charm... bu it freezes a lot. 6 times on me actually in one night. Sometimes with Clones, sometimes with all original characters in the match without even an alternate model or modified PSA.

I simply don't know what's wrong. Since you deciphered the code, would you happen to know what it might conflict with? Or perhaps if what Sonic Brawler posted was actually complete?
I'll send you a PM.

Don't worry anyone these codes codes won't hurt your wii or smash bros game. I am also one of the people who completely deciphered project m's code set. This codes are 100% accurate.

A few questions for people experiencing freezes with the HUD:
- What kinds of mods are you running? Model imports, or simply textures?
- NTSC or PAL?
- Have you modified the HUD files in any way?
- Project M, Brawl, or some other Brawl code-set?
- Are you running BrawlEx?

Thanks for any answers, it'll help us narrow down what could be causing the issues.
Mine is working and I'm running BrawlEx. But in HRC when the sandbag would touch the "barrier" it freezes.

How come everyone makes a thread about a team, but doesn't actually have a team?

Seriously. They've been popping up lately.
Probably because people enjoy helping others but don't want to be a full committed team member.

Cause ever time I request help it never get much help at all and also the tutorials are outdated and don't render very useful to me or my friends Sad
It's probably because everything keeps updating. Every time someone got used to brawlbox a new one came out. The problem in the request for help thread happens often. It's because people don't want to help or don't know how to help. Now to help you with your OP.

PSAs

You said you needed PSAers. Those are hard to come by because not many people can PSA. Some people don't even know how to make a hitbox. Not only that Specials are WAY harder to make than A attacks. I'm talking from experience as I'm a PSA expert. The only thing I can't do is make a legit crawl without it freezing. Everything is so far is possible,

Stage Making is probably the easiest thing to do. There are a very accurate tutorials on here.

There are a bunch of modelers, they're just busy most the time importing models.

GFX supported is all PSA knowledge. Creating a GFX is done in 3ds max.

Coders is also PSA. You do not code stage. You make them.

You just got to talk to the right people man. Some people are just rude and disrespectful to your requests and very few help. But I will be willing to give my PSA knowledge if I can video record.

And last time I checked, people got as far as the CSS. The only thing was that there were no characters there Tongue

We'll get there soon enough, guys.

Even though I do absolutely nothing here :V
I was able to get a clone slot to appear but it was Mario and hovering over the icon froze the game. But I reload it with gecko and its a clone. So Idk.

Hmm, if it's alright with you, could you try extracting once with Bitzipper and once with the built-in Windows unzipper and comparing the filesizes? Everyone on our end seems to end up with this:

Kirby the Hedgie, that's odd, that's what we've been using too. It could possibly be that the SD card needs defragmenting?
Oops I was looking on the wrong SD card. I've just extracted it and its the same as what you posted.

For some odd reason  it still crashes after the Now Loading screen. Is there something else I can do? Also, Takio I use Windows 7. I use its regular unzip for .zips and 7zip for .rars
Very odd. I'll look at mine.

Windows 8 Toshiba. I used Bitzipper to extract.

Okay, thank you for that. But how do I change the textures to CMPR? (I'm not really that experienced in BrawlBox). Do I export the textures and reinsert them as CMPR files (just a guess/assuming CMPR is a type of texture format).
Correct. Export both textures. Then right click on them and click replace. Re select the same texture and then when the texture comes up you will see format. Click the drop down arrow and choose cmpr. Do that for both and your done.

I don't want to be a bother, but when I downloaded the HUD (I have vBrawl/Regular Brawl) I put the Brawl HUD into my info2 folder but when I started up Brawl the game crashed after the Now Loading screen. Am I doing something wrong?
It's your Info.pac It happened to me. The info.pac can't be larger than 392 or 394kb its 396. So All I did was change the sudden death textures to cmpr and it went to 379kb and it works.

I follow this thread everyday. I'm subbing it now. Great project I love playing with the new textures. Keep up the good work.

14  Help & Tutorials / A/A Tutorials / Re: How to use Defensive Collisions to Reflect Projectiles. on: March 09, 2014, 12:34:17 PM
There is something that kinda works.

You can set the Bit that the Franklin Badge uses. LA-Bit[53]. But it doesn't wear off until you die or get an actual Franklin Badge and have it wear off, despite the command to clear the bit being set.
Can you force the La-Bit[53] to terminate on a certain timer. I'll post my code in my PSA on here when I get off work. Even Leon Exodio's new shadow over Wario has a reflector.

There is a perfect Mario over Pikachu. (Not .rel) and the creator managed to get the cape to work correctly. Also you forgot a few things in the code I believe. You need a special offensive collision with certain flags.

I've gotten projectiles to be reflected on my Zero over Diddy PSA using the same defensive collision as in the OP. It always works.
