I can't replace any CSP name texts or game freezes [SOLVED]

Ok...then delete your save and get another one...thats the only thing I can think about.

Sometimes (and its rare) mods can corrupt your save file.

uhm.. yeah that realy doesn't make sence at all, its not his save file, just his name thingie, I have the same problem with grey fox over metaknight, It freezes when your cursor is on the icon of greyfox but, if it was his save file, it would freeze everytime you go over metaknights icon.

Well I can move my cursor over Gray Fox, but when I put the CSP text in I can't even get into the CSS period.

I am experiencing the same problem. I try to edit the MiscData[30], and it freezes it regardless of what I use to replace it. File size is definitely not the issue because I've decreased the size significantly, and I doubt corruption is the culprit because I've tried this with a new sc_selcharacter.pac a few times now. I can edit anything in the sc_selcharacter.pac, but replacing even one file in the MiscData[30] will result in a freeze when I go in to the CSS.

Does ANYONE know what's going on here?

It would be safe to assume that no, no one does. This topic has been up for 20 days about to be 21 and not a single soul has any clue as to what's going on. It's getting pretty annoying and frustrating if you ask me. Someone out there has to know...

Oh yeah I can go to the CSS but not on the Icon of greyfox with his "grey fox" text. I didn't try it without text cuz I don't think its realy importend that I have grey fox.

oh and, I CAN edit other names, this is the first time it froze so maybe (in my case) its just that I can't edit metaknights name, only his CSP.

Download a fresh one and import your custom stuff in (at least try)

The problem is that the CSS has a maximum space value, meaning if you exceed that 180 or so megabytes, your going to get a crash.

To avoid this, hackers have made a reduced side CSS, leaving plenty of space to replace icons and whatnot.

Download this CSS:

On this file, replace all the icons, names and whatever, and place the file in Pfmenu2 (Or the directory might be Pf > Menu2, I forget which...)

This should work, due to the file having a smaller size, plus it looks cooler. :3

Uhh....that's the same CSS I've already been using :S lol. Also, mine is 3.42 MB so it can't be a size issue. Also, I can replace CSPs and everything else, just not CSP text.

idk it works fine for me when I put in both waluigi and sephiroth csp text.The one that shows up on minimized character and the one for selected character.

I'm talking about the text that appears in the full body CSP, you know, in one of the four player boxes.

What program did you edit in the CSP text? What file extension did it have after you were finished?
