Need help understanding something...

I've been looking into the Alternate Stage Loader code by Dantarion, and I just found out that Riivolution is not supported. I'm not sure how this is different from the Stage Expansion code, which I posted a modified Riivo xml to work with. I'm thinking I should be able to modify my xml to work with the ASL, too, but I just want to see if anyone can tell me why it wouldn't work, because Eternal Yoshi tried asking this on Smash Boards, but nobody answered his question. So can anybody at least give me a logical explanation as to why Riivolution can't use the Alternate Stage Loader code?

Well if no one will answer you, I say go for it!  Post your findings when you do of course.

hmm. you're right. if no one else is telling me why it can't be done, who's to stop me from trying? alright, but right now i'm taking care of a fellow newbie kitten with my current xml.

I tried adding a few lines to the xml that were similar to the lines used for the stgcustoms, but oddly enough it didn't work. I'm irritated, to say the least. i'm not too good with this hacking thing, I saw someone on smashboards mention what needed to be added to the xml and made it simpler by uploading an xml for it, so I'm in a bit over my head. i think the best advice i can give is: use gecko. i haven't used it yet, but i think you'll have better chances with that if you want to use ASL.
