After almost a whole year of modeling, planning, and procrastinating, my very first complete stage hack is ready!

    (fancy render, not actual screenshot)
    Download: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=34971

Everything was made almost entirely by me, with some assets taken from recent Mario games and other official stages to help maintain design accuracy and visual style. DSX8 handled most of the importing process, and due to technical limitations, I had to compromise on parts of the design. I tried to make the stage unique and fun to play on, so I would love to hear your feedback on it.

Also, here's a list of music I recommend for the stage:

    Official Stage Music
    (coming soon)

    Primary Suggestions
Bowser's Keep (Second Visit) - Super Mario RPG
Fight Against a Somewhat Stronger Monster - Super Mario RPG
Docaty Mountain Railroad - Super Mario RPG
And My Name's Booster - Super Mario RPG
Castle / Boss / Fortress - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Bowser Battle - Super Mario World
    Bowser's Road - Super Mario 64
    Bowser's Theme / Ultimate Bowser - Super Mario 64
    Bowser's Rage - Paper Mario
Castle - New Super Mario Bros.
Bowsers Battle - Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
    Bowser's Villa 1 - Super Princess Peach
Bowser Battle - Paper Mario: Sticker Star

    Secondary Suggestions
Let's Go Down the Midas River - Super Mario RPG
Margarie Margarita - Super Mario RPG
Bowser Battle - Super Mario Bros. 3
    Trojan Bowser - Paper Mario
King Bowser Arrives - Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Bowser's Castle - Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Bowser's Castle - Mario Kart Wii
Super Bowser World 3 - Super Paper Mario
Bowser Battle - Super Mario Galaxy 2

Such an awesome stage. I did a Mario vs. Bowser battle and a battle with Geno, Mallow, Booster, and Boshi. And I used a metal version of the Bowser Battle song from SMB3. So epic to fight to.

You guys did such an amazing job on this. Smiley

Everything about the stage's actual design is pretty much perfect, but there are a few things that I noticed were off:

1)The animation for the background does not seem to loop properly. Either that, or the slope tangents are off or something, because at one point the wail becomes disconnected from the floor/lower portion of the background (if that makes any sense). I'd imagine this could be solved by fixing the animation or attaching the wall to the bottom portion to the floor or something.

2)The shine on the Chomp is off. It looks like it's continuously bugging out.

3)There should probably be grabable ledges on the sides of the chandeliers.

That's all. Good job otherwise. :1

Odd, it sounds like you have an older version of the stage. We fixed all of those things. Hmm...

I was just going by the video provided with the download, which I assume is the most recent one available. I could be wrong though. If so, oops.

Oh, yes, the video is out of date, but it's the most recent video we have. There's no way I'd allow myself to release a stage that was in the same condition as what you see in the video!

Oh, phew, that's a relief. I suppose I retract what I said then. I'll have to download it and look at it myself then.

Guess that means I'll have to boot up my laptop for the first time in a while. :1

If anyone downloaded the stage right away and are having weird graphical glitches with the windows when playing on a real console, try downloading it again. We fixed that bug.

If you downloaded the stage during the first 24 hours after release, you might want to download it again. We updated the zip to include a minimized version that crops out all the off-screen polygons to maximize the framerate during gameplay. Some completely hidden polygons were also trimmed from the normal version as well. I recommend sticking with the minimized version if you frequently play three- or four-player matches or use high-poly hacks.

it works marvelously. 2nd most popular stage in the group I entertain (the 1st will always be the What is Love: Mario Villains stage, due to sheer hilarity)

By the way, anyone interested in recording a gameplay video for it? We still don't have a good one. I don't want people to think the stage is as glitchy and broken as in the video we currently have!

If you do record one and you use the minimalized version, please don't pause the action to fly the camera around. The greatly reduced scenery outside of the normal view isn't very flattering.
