Oddfellows Local 151 (WITH 2 BRSTMS) by Rath[Stage - Texture - Flat Zone 2]
This is my first "texture," so don't be too hard on it folks.
"Oddfellows Local 151" is a song by rock band R.E.M., about this building behind a firehouse where Peewee sits upon its wall to preach. Really creepy-sounding song. For some reason I thought it would be a good song for this place, but the music was too dark & it didn't blend in well with the atmosphere of Flat Zone, so I decided to edit the level design myself since I couldn't find any hacks here that I thought would work better XP
All of the texture edits were made on MS Paint. I'm sorry, I just don't have a lot of artistic proficiency, especially when it comes to using a computer art software to redesign a level in a children's video game.
Nonetheless, I'm sorta proud of what I did.............. & the title mentions 2 songs, so I will describe them for you. There is no 3rd song, since these are the only 2 songs I could think of for the level so far.
Oddfellows Local 151 by R.E.M.- Replaces Flat Zone 2. Self-explanatory. The song that inspired this hack! I am a big music fan, I just want to let you guys know, & R.E.M. is undoubtedly one of my favorite bands.
Backwards Room by zyko- Replaces "Chill." If you haven't heard of zyko, he is a member of OCRemix which is a non-profit organization dedicated to making remixes of video game songs. This is a remix of "Run, Rambi, Run!" from Donkey Kong Country 2 apparently. It is very radically different from the original, as it is now a 6-minute long goth/prog/rock epic, with oodles of electronic noises & some actually fairly well-done singing & guitar playing. I don't particularly like the music on this site, but I like this song. I've heard a few others by this artist & I must say, he is good! I may need to keep an eye out for more of his songs.
(I know the size for these BRSTMS are kinda huge. That's because I used BSCM-GUI v1.5. If someone would please tell me an easy to get songs onto this game without oversizing them, I would be truly grateful.)
This shouldn't desync Wifi, since it is a very simple edit, but if it is, well, it's not really my problem since I don't use Wifi. & it should work too; the level as well as both BRSTMs. If a problem arises let me know & I will try to fix it.
Anyway, without further ado, enjoy!
I may eventually do a texture for Final Destination as well, because I have a fairly interesting idea for that level too. Stay tuned for updates! ;)
