I think so. I know that if you rename say... "FitLink00.pcs" to "FitCaptain00.pcs" and move it to Falcon's folder, not only does Captain Falcon use Link's textures, but also his model! But the other texture slots are normal, therefore, you are correct. However, I think most models will come with a PSA, considering that our actual goal is to replace the characters. So, yeah, multiple models, but they'd all have the same moves (but not animations).

That's because (Not really sure) the voices are separate, and not compressed; they're .adx files. So, Captain Falcon's YES, is one .adx file, Kirby's Hi is another. I'll look in the .iso right now. EDIT: Might be a .ssm file.

Your best off to just wait for the model importer.
Just to clear some [censored]e up: The models WONT be in t pose, they will share the animations from the character they are replacing. The models WILL have textures, they will be loading from a separate brres just like regular brawl models. You WILL be able to texture hack custom models. You WILL have to rig the model for it to work.

Is the .brres outside or inside the .pac? I thought that the model was part of the .pac. Will animations be in a seperate file? brres is inside and outside depending on the file. all the in game character portraits are brres file. if you put a .pac on ssbextract, you will get brres files for textures, models, pallettes, etc

Also icegod, stage models are fairly different to the player models. Stage models link to TONNES of other files, they will need to be decrypted and replaced before it will be able to happen. Some of the stage MDL0 files arent linked to anything, so they should work just fine.

Does that mean that we can edit some of the stages partially? Ex.: Being able to edit the FD platform, but not the background.
