model changer with better animation and new pics.
samus with new textures will be in OP soon for feedback so I can move on to redo recolors. will also include move with model changer.
it's a one frame animation right now because I was trying to find the right look for when it opens, i have to do something else so it will be fully animated later. I also removed morphball from escape moves. I am going to replace the dodge/escape moves with those from other m with the jet model changer involved. still working on the textures for samus and she is in need of a better rig.
I heard that pretty much the only reason they haven't finished Samus yet is because there's something in one of her files that screws up the P:M physics if she does a certain move and they haven't completely fixed it yet. I originally figured they were trying to find a way to recreate how good she could be in Melee without her ridiculous recovery grappling the stage since Brawl just had the ledge grapple. She is kind of a glitchy character in Melee, especially with that Super Wave Dash. I guess they have another announcement coming up on Sunday, so fingers crossed.
hope they overcome that problem soon I need something new.
Wow, that's sweet. I like the green visor color better, but the textures look better all around, and even the visor looks better in many respects. Awesome job, man. When Samus comes out for P:M and this is done, I'll use it all the time...
thank you, and the colors for lights and visor will return to green, green is the default for varia. I started over on the textures and what you see is the original textures with added detail for metal and to make the textures non flat. all colors are the original just darker. next and other edits will be for saturation and stuff like that. the visor was all me i edited to try and match with original visor and current lights.
I am also waiting for P:M to reveal samus. not waiting for them to release my samus, but to have samus playable in P:M.
so v1 for vault will be delayed. have to redo recolors. this time around i separated textures into layers so they will actually take only seconds to complete. i also found great and better looking recolor designs for fusion, brawl dark, and a extra recolor. also the peach recolor. will show pics next week, this weekend i will prepare and get ready for a college assignment due Monday.
probably can't tell from pic but new textures has detail, looks nice, and has added metal look to the proper areas.

as for ryu I lost the max scene so I had to re-import him. ryu related stuff in spoiler for anyone interested in him. include alt models
will have some alts for him, 1st, 2nd, and 6th. those are the ones I plan on importing and having in game. I have all six models though. if anyone would like the 3rd, 4th, and 5th let me know and I will do those too. as for the progress; first one freezes because of verts (different model from the first I imported, have a few verts to get rid of), second hasn't been tested but should work (lower verts), working on lowering textures to check in game, and the last I got working before so there shouldn't be a problem with that one.
So the Fusion Suit model was ported to GMod by mariokart64n. I keep forgetting that, heheh.
The textures would be available in the zip file, but I can't download it because Valve's server is down or something stupid. So if you or someone you know has GMod, you can get the textures here.
As for the UVs, I'd be willing to take a look at them for you. No promises that I can fix them, of course.
guess the textures will have to wait because i don't know anyone from gmod.

Nice work on the shoulders, those must have been a pain. I think they might need some UV editing to make that seam less noticeable.
Also, I could probably dump some Fusion Suit textures from Prime if there aren't any floating around already.
thanks, and yes the shoulders are/was horrible. i will see about UV editing but i never done that before so if someone wants to do that let me know, otherwise i will try it myself
as for the textures if there aren't any somewhere it would be great if you could get those. i will make sure to add you to the collab list if you want. or if you prefer to be credited instead of collabed like some people, that's fine too. whichever you prefer, just let me know.
Now that you mention it, they kind of look that way to me too, but they're literally just color changes from the original. I think part of that is just the fact that the textures on the kind of 'skin'-ish parts of the suit are pretty plain, but some of the other textures show up in random places, which make them look a little weird.
Also, the suits pretty much looked like that in Prime 1, which is where I'm guessing Nintendo basically got the trophy model and textures from originally, aside from the cannon of course.
yeah, your pics help me see the random texture mixing on the body and areas that need improved rigging. I knew about the color mixing on the gun though. also I am fine with the recolors idea but they may or may not need edits. I have to test in game to be sure because pics can sometimes be mis-leading.
-model changer slightly off, it's not animated either (if not using my other samus motionetc cull_all the materials to make changer invisible) culling is optional -gun is getting some of the body texture -morphball blue is off from fusion blue (custom morphball will be accurate color) -rig on shoulder and helmet mainly (will fix helmet and try to do better on the shoulder)
cull_all is an option for those that are not using my motionetc. I still have my motionetc in and don't know the results if you don't have mine, won't freeze though. might just have both guns visible since it's not lined up correctly yet. it still look good and these problems are barely noticeable. feel free to provide feedback after testing/playing.
Fusion thread demo will be released today. if I get home early enough I can fix the arm cannon and add morphball. if I don't get home early enough I will release without morphball and an idk arm cannon. I resized it but never got to check it in game to see if it's ok.
for current morphball do you guys want the brawl morphball with the fusion recolor or the other m morphball fusion colored and without the metal detail?
after fusion is up pm me or post on the thread if you are doing recolors or something like that so I can update the collaborator portion of the txt.
Well man, I got a question for you : do you think it's possible to "fuse" MOM Samus texture effects with this model? Like the glowing trails etc...
the glow and shine effects are already added but needs some edits. the visor already has the glow if you look at it, pretty bright. I also added the glow to the three crystals on the back but in game it doesn't look like I did anything to it.
the fusion gun model changer is added, just have to scale it. as for the morphball I will use brawl original for now but I will update it to look like this
