I've been looking for it all over the place but every time I download something it either doesn't work or its in a format that I'm supposed to convert it into a disc.

I want to play brawl directly from my computer.

So if anyone has Brawl for their Dolphin then could you upload it and send me a link.

I realize it may be a lot to ask since the upload is probably really big but I'd greatly appreciate it.

Reason why I need it his way is because currently my Wii SD card is set up for Riivo and Riivo is crap to test hacks with since you have to restart the Wii every time you wanna take the SD card out. I'd change back to Gecko but since I run Brawl- the gct I have (and I tried a couple others) wont run for some reason.

So all in all I'd just like to remove my wii and SD card from the equation as a whole. I also don't have anyone to play Brawl with in my area so setting up the Wii is also a pain.


Could anyone help?

Has anyone ever thought to compile a list of known balanced stages.

When I say balanced stages... I don't mean stages that are just texture swaps of Final or Battlefield, but actual balanced stages like:

Green Hill Zone Balanced
Norfair [M]
Balanced Hyrule (The Hyrule Temple stage that comes with Brawl-)

Stages like those that are created with Balanced fighting in mind. I think there should be more of those I especially like Norfair [M] because its unique with its creation yet still balanced. GreenHill Zone Balanced has 1 platform but it swings... which also adds a unique dynamic to it.

But yeah... stages like those that are typically flat with 1 or more platforms that don't distract from competitive play.

I keep trying different stages on Pictochat and nothing works.

I named the file STGPICTCHAT_en.PAC and I even tried it without the _en part, and nothing works. I just keep getting the beep of death.

Can anyone help me with this?

I was told that the Vault's thingy that showed new hacks, popular hacks, things of that nature was fixed... but its not fixed for me for some reason. All I get is the option to choose stages/characters/sounds etc and manually look through the vault for new things.

Help?

The second thing I need help with, (tbh, I care about this one more then the other) is that the Keyblade pack in the vault, I'm having trouble replacing the keyblades. The instructions in the description is a bit to vague for me, and I've tried a few times and gotten nowhere.

If someone could help me out with that, it'd be nice.

It took a while, but I'm finally starting on my custom hacking swag. So my first hack is:

Ninja Mario with credit to Vee Lucifer for the Texture,  Vitinho and shadowbrawler for the re-colors, and Riki Li for a few of her animations and inspiring me to start my own hack.

Here is what I've Completed thus far:

Done, Working on, Haven't started.
These only apply to the Animations, not anything else.

Entry: A whirlwind entry. For anyone who watches/reads Naruto, similar to how Kakashi/Sasuke entered the Chuunin exam before Sasuke fought Gaara. What I have in mind so far is to take a little bit of Link's entry animation for the wind effect.

Jumps: 2 jumps. If someone would like to help me with it, I'd rather give him 3. They are all flips of come kind.

AAA: Jab, Jab, Slash: A standard 3 hit attack, two punches followed by a slicing cross chop.

^ Tilt:  A backflip kick. Similar to Mario's Up-Air or Fox's Up-Smash.

^Air: Backflip kick, no change from Mario's.

>/< Tilt: Side Kick. This kick, I like. Ricki Li did this one, and I happen to like the effect she gave it. It drags your target into you. Nice for combos so I'm keeping it.

< Air: Aerial drop kick. No change from Mario.

V Air: A leg drop. It will be a short range meteor that also doubles in sending Mario higher. Like... psudo footstooling.

V-Tilt: Sweep Kick. A down kick that auto-trips your opponent. I like the effect(credit to Ricki Li), but when I get around to messing with the PSA portion, I may end up lowering the chance of that happening.

Up Smash: Shoryuken: Raises higher in the air if you charge longer. (Fire Effect). I need help with this one. Currently, in-game, he wont jump. In brawl box, he does exactly what I want him to do, but in game he doesn't leave from his location.

What its SUPPOSED to do is quite true to the name. A Shoryuken that lifts him up pretty high into the air and moves him forward a bit. It should be nice for air combo-chasing.


Down Smash: Explosion. He throws down a flash bang that sends the surrounding opponents flying. Ever played Soul Calibur? Taki is the inspiration for this move. Throwing down a smoke bomb, an explosion happens that sends opponents flying. Good for knockback, low damage/killing potential, manily for air combo starting. So far, I'm just starting the animation of throwing down the smoke bomb.

Side Smash: Vanish strike. He makes a ninja pose and vanishes from one side to the next, anyone in his path will be dazed before sent flying. The move looks similar to Fox's side-b but its not as long. The animation is done, I just need to do the PSA work on it.

N-B: Shuriken throw. Instead of fireballs, he throws a shuriken that travels straight. I was thinking that if I could find someone to texture Mario's fireballs to look like Shuriken, this would be much better, or if that wasn't possible, I'd keep it as a fireball and enlarge it to make it similar to the Fireball Jutsu from Naruto.

N-B Air: Shuriken throw. Instead of fireballs he throws a shuriken diagonally downward. Same as above, but diagonally down.

Up-B: Ninja Art Ground/Air: Wind Walk: A fast teleport upward with some wind effect thrown in. Slashing effect to those who get hit.  I'm actually open to suggestions on this one.

Side-B Ground/air: Arc Jump, in middle of jump, throw shuriken down. Similar to ZSuits down b move however, his will have an attack at about 3/4 of the way through the arc, aiming into the center of the arc he is jumping over. Its an evasive/counter move.

Also taking suggestions if anyone has them for splitting the Side b ground and air into two different moves.



Down B Ground: Vanish Strike: A counter move where whoever strikes him gets dazed for few seconds as he vanishes out of the way. A simple counter/evasive move. I'll probably have to make a false counter, but he wont actually attack back. And I'm thinkin about taking the 'daze' part out to keep it fair.

I'm starting my way on hacking and I'm having a bit of problems with Ike's sword.

The full situation is this:

I have two PSAs for Ike. Tsuna by lwvi and Takahisa by @-nu. Tsuna's A attacks seem blocky and Takahisa's seem smoother. Tsuna's B moves however I like more then Takahisa's. So I thought that for my beginning journey to hacking, I'd start with something simple like moveset swapping.

There inlies the problem.

I'm using Takahisa's pac file as a base and in smashattacks, I've changed his SpecialLw and SpecialLwHit to Tsuna's.

The problem is that in game, the sword still glows when he does the move.


How do I get the sword to stop glowing? I have brawlbox and everything I need to do this, I just don't know what to do to make the sword not glow when he does the attack.

The attack in question is (for Tsuna) his Zero Point Breaker. Which is just Ike's counter but it turns the foe into Ice. I've got the ice part down. I've got the movement down. But the sword glows still. Any help?


Edit: I plan to ask both of the PSA creators for permission and give them credit upon completion of this. If anyone was worried about that.

I've got a bunch of stages that can go over Custom stages.... BUT when I used the rel that came with it on the custom board that I have, it didn't work.

I heard it was called Stage Expansion...

So how does this work and what do I need to do to make it work?

Why exactly is her file size so small? And what does that actually mean?

I'd like to understand a bit better how and why certain things are possible to do with other characters but not with zero suit.

I've seen a PSA with a few of her moves changed so I know its possible to redo at least a couple of her moves... But what is it exactly thats her problem as to why its so hard to hack her?

Has a port of ZSS to another character not been found yet? I've seen a Zelda hack with a lot of moves similar to ZSS, so maybe that could be the ticket.

The reason why I'm asking is because I have a Cammy texture and it just seems to me that a moveset for Cammy (not a big one... just a few moves like her spiral arrow and maybe switch her gun for a different move) wouldn't take that much space. I mean her spiral arrow could be a redo of ZSS's current down B... The gun and whip attacks could be kicks... It just doesn't seem like a lot of work (besides the usual amount of work it takes to do moveset/animation hacks) to me. But I have a feeling that if i request it, someone is going to pop in and say 'Hey... thats not possible due to ZSS's file size limit'

So I'm asking here and now to better understand this problem.


Side Question: Ness... is that a suitable port for Peach? I've seen the hack around but I didn't know if it required a .rel or not.

I'm having trouble editing my codes for Brawl.

Every time I put the code in, all it says is that the input code must be divisible by 16.

What does that mean and how do I make this work?

Its not just one time that this has said that. Its every time I put in a code. Copy and Paste codes right from the vault and w/e and it still says that.

Help anyone?

So I've recently gotten Riivolution and I've recently switched the default CSS with one I downloaded from here, got a bunch of textures and stages stuff and what not. (Just an overview of what I've done so far)

All that stuff (besides the CSS) worked when I played brawl- up until yesterday. (Thats when I got Riivolution and started using my custom codes)

I tested the stuff out and the codes still work and what not. I even managed to get the CSS to work.


Strange part is... the Wii freezes at RANDOM times. I can't peg why. It'll freeze in the middle of a match, during the character select screen, in the main menu...

Personally I don't know what could be causing it. I have half a mind to think its got something to do with my Wii flashing like a lightning bug on crack.

I have Brawl-

And my code manager for whatever reason wont read the codes I put in (or at least its not applying them)

I've asked for help previously and it didn't go far... so I've decided to take a different route.

Is there a Common file somewhere that I can just download that will replace the one I have. Basically I want All the characters separately(Sheik, Samus ect) and the Alloys and crew.

Reason being is that I am starting to understand how to place imports over certain characters (I've got Veutiful Joe over Falcon and Cloud of Ike so far) and the Alloy's are good character fodder (because I don't want to get rid of ALL my OCs.

So again, is there a Common File somewhere or that someone has with this? Preferably one that doesn't place any characters below the "Ready to Fight" line because I couldn't get that code to work either. (Either that, or possibly a common file that fixes this problem?)

I don't know if this is the right place to put this thread (This isn't the most user friendly site in the world) so please forgive my noobness...

But I'll get right down to it.

I downloaded Brawl-

I have textures, vertexes, stage textures and vertexes but thats the simple stuff.

The complicated stuff I need help with is things like the character portraits, Import Models, Menu Screens.

For some reason, the code manager I have doesn't apply the codes I have for said things (Also I'm not 100% I did it right) My CSS when changed to a different one that I downloaded here doesn't allow me to pick anyone under the 'Ready to Fight" words. I HAVE read a thread somewhere around here on how to fix that but as the name of this thread implies... nothings working.

So I have the Common5 file that came with Brawl- until someone can help me out.


On a Side Note:

Sheik in Brawl- vanishes every time she Dodges and or does her Dash Attack. When I say vanishes, I mean she vanishes until she does another attack to re-appear. Is there anyone that could fix this to where she only vanishes (Or Poofs because I have a Nightcrawler Texture for her as well) when she dodges.  I like the vanishing and I have no problem keeping up with her while she is invisible... but I have textures for her I'd like to see for majority of the fight and since dodging triggers the vanish I don't see much of Sheik when I use her.


Also I have the Zero14 texture and move set... but his saber range is HORRIBLY short and his Forward Tap has little to no range at all as well. Is there anyone willing to edit this (If possible) to be more useful? (I'll probably end up PMing the creator when I look at the Link for it again.
