So I'm new to the whole File Patch to Super Smash Bros, as well as this whole thing in general. Though any hacking, modding, or changing I've done has been to itty bitty tiny NES roms. Woo!!

Anyways, I'm just curious if there is a way for me to do the File Patching to SSBB through the USB Loader? Like I have the backup on my HDD, but is there any way to add these codes to that? Or do I have to have the disc?

Do you already have homebrew? well if your starting out I suggest watching this

this helped me hack my wii safely, and also get beyonds riivolution from the vault if thats what you wanna use

he also has a video to soft modd without using a game

Ah my bad. Didn't explain my situation correctly I suppose. My wii is already hacked. I'm already using the Configurable USB Loader to play my games, have the Homebrew Channel and all that whatnot. Is there any way for me to play Hacked Smash bros through the USB Loader without Loading a scrubbed ISO? Or is there a way for gecko or riivolution to add the file patch code to my backup? Or is it possible through Ocarina that is used with Configurable USB?

    The built-in Ocarina works for me. I'm using the latest build of CFG, and all I had to do was move my GCT from my SD card to *:\usb loader\codes. From there, you just need to set the hook-type, turn ocarina codes on, save the settings, and start the game.

    Correct me if I'm wrong guys but isn't there USB loaders with gecko built in? Wouldnt theat help?

    i use usb loader gx and i put the codes in a tex file then export  it to a gpd file with Code Manager and it work's fine with me the only thing you cant do is replace movies,or sound but you can put that in the iso.

    the video has to be the same size (or smaller i think ) for it to work but i haven't tried to replace the intro yet but i will let you know

    If you want custom voices/SFX on characters you should riivolution without file patch code. With Gecko, you have to use file patch code but doesnt support Custom SFX.

    But i dont know how it works for configurable USB Loader.

    usb loader you have to put the custom voices/SFX on characters you have to put it in the iso file and load the game through usb loader but for gecko os idk how to do it
