I'm making a white Sonic texture, but as everyone knows it turns pink.
Is there a way to remove that pink look on Sonic's body texture? I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I also tried making the bodymask white, but instead of pink, it turned completly black.

Try filling the mask texture parts with black.  One of the masks requires an indexed palette though.

So far as I've seen and tested in the past, Sonic's coloration of his fur is a tint that's also applied to his shoes... so whatever shoes he's wearing, that is the tint he'll have (i.e. gold-ring costume = yellow shoes = yellow tint; green cuff costume = green shoes = green tint, etc.).

Also as far as I know, no one's been able to successfully find a way of overriding that blasted tint.

The evil Pink Layer has haunted me for years.  I see what you did there ...

Wait... this gives me an idea. We can change the color of the shoes, right? (Not normal texture, I mean the effect texture that gives the running blur) Would changing that also change the tint?
But why is Sonic blue and not a redish blue normally... hmmm....

Sonic is a dark blue color, the pink tint only shows with light colors.

I'm beginning to think the effects files got something to do with the pink tint.
