    yeah you can do that, but they will definitely not repair it if you've taken it apart.

    do you think he could re-install homebrew then when you take it to nintendo if they do upgrade the wii to the latest version (4.3) you can get homebrew again or is it easy said then done?

    Alright, thanks for your help. I haven't taken my Wii apart or anything so I should be fine. And I updated my Wii a long time ago, I never even use homebrew channel, I only used Riivolution.

    Bloodhunter talked about ripping them after getting the disc drive fixed. So it could, but i can understand you reading it like that. I had to read it 3 times before i noticed xD

    if u repair the wii the worst they wil do is tell u to pay for it if it was under warrenty. voiding ur warrenty WILL NOT make them not fix it, it means they are no longer responsible for any faults in the system there by will not fix it for free.
