Should that even be on the Vault? Yes,that would belong in the SFX section,or if I'm mistaken,it would be in the Misc. section. Is this a invalid report? No. He's telling what not to do. Someone has to fix that I suppose. |

Well, it's technically not the proper format for the SFX section. He hasn't done anything with the sound files to make them usable in Brawl. I guess if it's allowed on the Vault then yeah, the SFX would be best, but that's only because the hack has literally no other place it can go. Personally, I don't think it should be on the Vault. If we allow plain old WAV files to be uploaded, what's to stop people from uploading MP3s and WAVs for Music hacks or PNGs for Texture hacks? |

That is as much allowed as placing JPEG, MP3, or 3DS files in the Vault.
That is : Not allowed at all.
The report may be a bit weirdly formulated, but the hack itself doesn't have its place anyways.
However, I dislike having to delete useful, gathered material that is showing some sort of work (even if not completed), so...
Now is probably a good time to suggest a new idea in the Admin boards to adress incomplete works. LC has been asking me to talk about it for some time now. >.>

I agree with this. It shouldn't be deleted but it certainly doesn't belong on the Vault. I guess the best option would be for the maker to post his stuff in the Audio section of the forums and hopefully get someone else to properly format it, but if he doesn't want to do that I can't of anything else. Eh, I dunno. On one hand it's not like the Misc section doesn't have a ton of image files already in in (Gecko backgrounds) but on the other hand this forum does have a gallery board for a reason. I'd say no, but there's precedent for letting it stay put. |

I see where you're coming from, and I agree that image files for Brawl make sense in the Misc section. Having things like menu backgrounds there makes perfect sense to me. But the hack Segtendo brought up was for the files associated with Brawl (BRSTM, MDLO, REL, etc) and wouldn't show up in-game. That kinda stuff should be in the art section of the forums. |

Well, unless the uploader decides to make an art thread and move it themselves (or the mods/admins want to get involved), it's staying put. Honestly it's so inconsequential that it this point we might as well leave it there. One misplaced batch of images isn't gonna hurt anyone. |
