:>.>: Ive softmodded our wii with hackmii, and installed hombrew(followed all the instructions with the ISOs and what not). i also have gecko os on our sd card. i have 6 texture hacks for peach, one of them i modified slightly with brawlbox all called FitPeach0#.pcs/pac :kdance: in the correct folders private>>app>>etc :notimp:. I load homebrew, then gecko os and launch brawl from there, but the hacks wont take effect?! WHY? :srs:
I also dont know very much about codes. i made a folder on the sd card with a file of them on there, and went through thr whole process where it said + should activate it. i pressed it and nothing happened on the screen, so idk if they did or not :>.>palm:
(btw our wii is 4.2U!!!)
What Codes you're using? and where's the gct file placed at?
The "Codes" Folder Should Be On The Root Of The SD Card ... If you Dont Have It In There Then Make One.. If You Do Have It Then, Do You Have A .GCT File In It?.... If You Do, Just How Chuy Said, What Codes Are you Using?
im not sure what a gct code is. i have the code called "code.txt" in a folder called "txtcodes"
this is what i have

It Should Be Named Like This RSBE01.gct....
are those the proper codes? we want to not only use texture hacks, but to have 360 camera turn, limitless custom stage parts, etc
also i cant find a program that WILL save it as a gtc
This Is Much Easier Go Here And Download The GCT You Want...
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=6201.0....
It will be On The Bottom Where It Says Code Section...
There Will Be Downloads For Three Different GCTs Of your Choice...
Once You Have Downloaded One Make Sure It Goes In The Root Of Your SD Card In A File Named "CODES"...
i just found the RSBE01.gct int the file called codes on my root directory. so they were already there :srs:
where do i put the CSS and the SSS folders?
http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=232455
if i dont have a program that can save the codes as gtc, how do i save the codes on the website??
ok, i answered all the rest myself, one last question. where in the wii must you go to activate the codes?
i tried to load Cheat Manager, but all it said was
loaddir() failure : terminating
The Codes Activate Thru Gecko OS...
The Cheat Manager can't open a .gct file, only create them from the .txt file
Ok, wait. Are you NTSC or PAL? And why is everyone overlooking that missing piece of information?
He Should Be NTSC Because His Wii Is 4.2U..
Gecko Os on your SD's "apps" folder, you launch Gecko Os inside the Homebrew Channel, it should load the codes for the game if they're in SD/codes folder.
then why do i even need cheat manager?
Cheat Manager creates .GCT, on your Computer thought, you can use CodeManager 1.2
http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php?topic=3400.0
when i activate the codes, will there be any sort of identifier on the screen indicating that they are now active?
On Gecko Os, it'd have to say "Codes Found: RSBE01.gct Now loading" or something like that, after you go into "Launch Game" option.
dont i have to click + or somehing like that?
...What?
all along i had the RSBE01.gct in the file called codes on the sd card, and it never saw it there before
i had followed some instruction on cheat manager that said to click + to activate the codes
...Okay, here's the deal, I'll upload a .Rar file you'll have to extract on your SD Card, which will have everything organized (Including the Codes and Texture Folders) alright?
Edit: Here's it: http://www.mediafire.com/?63zj1vuf12ld5re (Make sure to read the README! I inserted the top part and the bottom part of it, the middle is for reference on Texture Colours)
With these files you'll just need to insert your own textures in each respective folder (Which I explained how to in the read me) and launch Gecko on the Homebrew.
im studying for a programming exam right now but ill try it out when i get the chance. thanks so much!

Essentials. Just try it, if it works, then it's all good, changing the RSBE is a simple task.
