Hello Everyone. I here by declaring that I will be retiring from this project. Tales of Brawl is almost to its knees. I will go along with it as well. I'm Sorry.  I will provide the source along its final release. I'm moving on to finish college and Thank You for your support!
Its Near Complete Finish is on New Years! Thanks and have a wonderful new year! Thread will be gone (not locked) by the end of January.

Problem: During Coin Match, Coins seems to explode for some reason.
Updated Models are now less lag in the game now due to new brawlbox.

TOSII Moveset here!
Here's the moveset ANLGC and I agreed to:

Story: Emil was an average timid 16 year old boy who was constantly bullied due to his admiration for the Vanguard and hate toward the Church of Martel. After his encounters with Richter and Marta, his life changed significantly. He gained a power from Tenebrae in order to save Marta as a Knight of Ratatosk. Once Emil gets into battle, he goes into "Ratatosk Mode," a bipolar trait where Emil turns from timid to relentless and merciless.

Fighting Style: Emil (or Ratatosk Mode Emil in this case) uses a one handed sword and is able to rack up a ton of combos and damage. He moves all over the place and even has attributal enhancement and moveset modifiers. Emil will get the help of his centurions, which will modify base artes. In this PSA, he has three modes, each which can be used via "taunting." Up taunt is Ability Enhancer, and this gives Emil extra hits, Ex attacks, and Backstep (This technique is different from back dodge that brawl uses) Side taunt is Attribute Enhancer. This ability will allow Emil to use items more effectively and be able to perform a mystic arte easier. Down taunt is Centurion Assisstance. This modifies all of Emil's base artes from physical to elemental.

A : 1st slash : Emil slashes diagonally low.
A2 : 2nd slash : Emil slash diagonally up
>a : Kick : Emil kicks the enemy diagonally up.
>a2 : Strike : Emil relentlessly strikes the opponent
Va : Stab : Emil relentlessly stabs the opponent
vA2 : Strike : Same as >A2
^A : Jump, then attack: Emil jumps while holding his sword up.

Note: This works almost exactly like the AAA system in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new world.

Air A: Left slash: Emil slashes left
AirA2: Spin slash: Emil spins while holding his sword in the open
UpAirA: Slash up: 2nd part of ground up A

Note: The aerial AAA system works exactly like in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New wold. If needed, Aerial Up A will be programmed in case it is impossible to program the whole attack in one action. (For Ground Up A)

v------ The Base Artes -------v

B : Demon Fang: Emil sends out a shockwave from his sword
>B : Savage Reaper: Emil Jump strikes, then stabs.
vB : Havoc Strike: Emil jumps, then throws himself down.
^B : Ravaging Tiger: Emil jumps, while slashing twice.
AB : Blade Fury: Emil relentlessly slashes his sword everywhere.
>AB: Pheonix Rush: Emil slashes up, then down.
^AB: Raining Fangs: Emil jumps, then sends several shockwaves.
vAB: Fiend Fusion: Emil powers himself up to run faster.

Note: When Centurion Assistance is activated, these artes will completely change. List of changes:

B : Dark element and no projectile
>B : Light element and extra knockbakc
vB : Fire element and extra hit
^B : Lightning element and extra hit
AB : Ice element
>AB: Wind element, 2 extra hits and reduced momentum
^AB: Water element, 2 less hits, and a minor projectile
vAB: Rock element and transformed arte (It is now an attack)

Recall: Centurion Assistance can be activated by pressing down taunt.

v------- The Arcane Artes -------v

Z : Dual Death: Emil strikes, then sends out two shockwaves.
>Z : Raging Heaven: Emil slashes 4 times, while performing unusual momentum changes.
^Z : Dark Radiance: Emil jumps up, slashes, then somersaults while holding his sword out in the open, then lands.
ZB : Converging Fury: Emil performs Blade Fury, then dashes across the opponent, knocking him/her down.
vZ : Demon's Rage: Emil slashes twice, then jumps. When he lands, the ground shakes slightly.
>ZB: Raging Thrust: Emil dashes across, then performs Savage Reaper.
vZB: Quake Assualt: Emil performs Blade Fury, then smashes the ground.
^ZB: Roaring Tiger: Emil dashes across, jumps up, then uses Raining Fangs.

Note: These aren't throws. Z artes are the better decision because they support the arte linking system, and because throws are cheap in brawl. Also, no one can seem to come up with a remotely good idea for throws for tales characters (Senel is an exception)

Smash left: Heavenly Tempest: Emil jumps, while slashing twice, then spins around several times.
Smash up : Light Spear Cannon: Emil strikes his sword diangally up, while sending a shockwave that causes multiple hits.
Smash down: Sword Rain Alpha: Emil slashes multiple times, then does a strike with higher (but still low) knockback.

Note: These smash attacks aren't chargeable.

v------- Artes affected by a guage ------v

ABZ: Devil's Maw
ABZ2: Ars Nova

Note: These artes are based off a gauge. When it's half full, Devil's Maw will perform. When it's completely full, Ars Nova will perform.

Final Smash: Devil's Hellfire

Note: This can be done via smash ball or complex command.

The command:

Base arte + Arcane arte (A must be held the whole time. In this case, not all artes can be used to activate this, such as Pheonix Rush) The gauge must be completely full as well.

If B is pressed 40 times during the final smash:

At the end, Ain Soph Aur will perform.

v----- Other commands ------v

Up taunt: Ability Enhancer

This gives Emil 9 extra AAA attacks (meaning that it is now AAAAAAAAAAAA), ability to use artes in the air, ex attacks, ability to connect two base artes, stronger backstep, and faster teching.

Side taunt: Attribute Enhancer

This boosts item use and gives out a new command used to perform Devil's Hellfire (Use arcane arte with B held down while the gauge is full)

Down Taunt: Centurion Assistance

This changes Emil's base artes. (The changes are listed in the base arte section.)

Note: Emil can't use all three at once. For example, if Down Taunt is pressed, Emil can use Centurion Assistance, but if he presses up taunt, he loses the Centurion Assistance ability, but gains the Ability Enhancer ability.




He had too many unique artes to throw out XD

Oh, I must also point out that this moveset is most specified to wiimote and nunchuck users. In that case, Z is wiimote's R.

I will verify on the evening but I alreay downloaded Emil's voice, I have his battle voices in all his forms meaning beginning form, red eyes and the two different green eyes.  And in japanese of course! Hum, I didn't know that I belonged to this team but it is an honour!  But I wonder if this topic is correctly placed in the right section...

That's odd, I have it sitting there and it hasn't frozen. It's been five minutes or so...... Try a different stage, and play with only Emil, no other characters.

Here:
Emil Castagnier moveset:

Emil is a fast character with good jumping, and can come back easily on the battlefield. Of course, he is a little easy to eject because his weight is not so high.

Emil normal mode:

B: Blade Fury or Fiend Fusion. Base artes. Fiend fusion allows Emil to be faster than normal during some times (normally in the game it is 45 seconds) and doesn't inflicts damage. 4 hit max for Blade Fury.

Forward B: Havoc Strike. Base arte. Can be used to come back on the battlefield, one hit max.

Up B: Ravaging Tiger. Base arte. Can be used to come back on the battlefield Three hit max.

Down B: Phoenix Rush. Base arte. Can be used to come back on the battlefield.Two hit max.

There are base artes. Forward B, Up B, and Down B, can be connected each other. It means you can do Ravaging Tiger then Phoenix Rush, or Phoenix Rush and Havoc Strike.


A movement: Three slashes. (basic attack.The three slashes can be used by pressing A three time, or by keep pressing A.)

Forward tilt: Demon Fang (base arte, projectile. It does a shockwave on the ground that does one hit, and it does a projectile that moves that does one hit as well, but the sword doesn't inflict any damage of course. So, 2 hits max.)

Down tilt: Savage reaper (Base arte. 3 hit max.)

Up tilt: Raining Fang (Base arte, jumping movement similar to hell pyre. 5 hit max)


Smash Forward: Sword Rain Alpha (Arcane arte 12 hit max.)

Smash down: Roaring Tiger (arcane arte, 8 hit max)

Smash up: Light Spear Cannon (Arcane arte 5 hit max)

Dash attack: Converging Fury (only the final movement where Emil goes behind the ennemy by slashing him. One hit.)

Aerials:

Neutral: 3 slashes in the air. (Basic attack)

Forward A: Demon fang (base arte One hit only because in air.)

Down A: Heavenly Tempest (arcane arte, 6 hit max)

Back A: Savage reaper (base arte, be careful with this move, with the first slash Emil should turn back then make a thrust like original but the thrust is behind him while the first slash is next to him. 2 hit max with great chances)

Up A: Dark radiance (arcane arte 6 hit max)

Taunt Up: Sorcerer ring, fires a fire projectile. Little damages and no knockback.

Taunt side: Sorcerer ring, fires a thunder projectile, less strong than fire, but can stun the ennemy, the projectile moves slower than the fire. No knockback.

Taunt down: Disabled.

Emil relies a lot on his combos, this why basic attacks can be connected to a base arte, and why a base arte can be connected to an arcane arte.

The only base arte that can't be used after a basic attack, or lead to an arcane arte is Fiend Fusion, if you use it which I hope.

But this is not over, there are two other modes.

Centurion mode: Enters in this state automatically after you have taken 70% of damages.

Here are the changes this mode does.

Demon Fang: 3 hits, in air and on ground, darkness element, and no longer a projectile.

Havoc Strike: Fire element, 2 hits max.

Blade Fury: 5 hits max, Ice element.

Or Fiend Fusion: 4 hits, Earth element (pillars of earth surrounds Emil that hits near opponents and it strengthens his defense, no longer his mobility.
Ravaging Tiger: Thunder element, 5 max hits

Savage Reaper: Light element, 4 max hits, on ground, and with great chances, in air as well, 2 hits for the thrust in fact and two hits for the first movement of this attack.

Raining Fang: Water element, 5 hits too, but stronger than original obviously. (in the game it is four hits, but I honestly don't see why...)

Phoenix Rush: 4 hits, wind element.

Emil in this mode can do basic attacks, but instead of 3 slashes, can do 4 slashes.

And the last mode:

True Ratatosk mode:

Keeps the changes of Centurion mode, activated automatically above 130% of damages.

Taunt down can now be activated. When you press down taunt, Emil becomes intangible, and does this animation.

Devil's Maw: Darkness element. Second strongest attack in term of damages but no knockback. 10 hit max. And can only be used once before you die.

And now, the basic attacks allows Emil to do 6 slashes instead of 4.

And to finish:

Final Smash: Dual death+ Devil's Hellfire+ Ain Soph Aur. (When Emil activates this final smash, he does Dual Death. He makes a thrust then unleashes two projectiles that travels along the ground ( do not make them travel as far as in the game). 3 hits max. If this movement makes no hit, the final smash is lost, but if there is an hit, those who are touched by this movement, are forced to be hit by Devil's Hellfire and Ain Soph Aur. The other opponents are safe because they are not seen in the screen, like in Captain's falcon final smash for example.) Do not forget to zoom on Emil when it is necessary like in the game.

I forgot something about the final smash.

22 hits max for Devil's hellfire. And 7 hits max for Ain Soph Aur.

The final smash is stronger according the mode you are, and has more knockback too.

Wow, um.... we have lots of work to do still. my glitchlist/freezelist:
Freezes when I do his normal special, and im afraid to do any other special than Up-B.
When I use his shield, it freezes. BTW, here is my CSP base:

Not bad for the CSP, but there is a major anomaly in here according to me... I let you guess what it is.

This is the anomaly that I pointed. Excepted if it is planned to make an Emil version with green eyes, but if it is the case, it means his voice will be changed, and I think it will be deeply changed...

G Slasher's image is more representative of the state of Emil if he has Red eyes, because he's making a pact with a monster. But, yours Fliptocat, shows much better Emil fighting style and this is a fighting pose. It is better I think.

I have made a Lloyd texture for Emil and haven't tested it yet, when I do test it, I will release it here. and if someone without the fitfalco.pac and fitfalcomotionetc.pac downloads it, they are screwed

Yes, between March 23rd and March 26th, I think. I know it is in the 20's. We are still working on fixing the freezing when you guard and use his specials.

We don't know when it will be released so I think it is completely idiot to say it will be released in the 20's. We don't know what can happen and if we will be able to fix the glitches enough fastly. But this is not really what I was pointed by false informations.

By false informations, I was talking about what was posted on Smashboard. If you want to know the answer, take a look there, and this is what you should have done Gslasher.

Anlgc: Can you explain in a little more details how you see that Regal's bone structure is different from other characters? What happens concretely? Is this model not seen in Brawlbox64 like the others like Emil for exemple?

Because if it is the problem, unfortunately xxmasal22xx, I'm afraid to say that you won't have the first outfit of Richter before a certain time... The first outfit can't be seen correctly in Brawlbox64, it is not the case for the second.

I'm hoping to get started on my emil soon too, a one man effort...should be interesting.
My emil will probably end up being like Ken's Labyrinth lol Lots of versions with minor improvements on each one :D

At least now I know not to use the mytheral sword ^+^ *sigh* I'll use echo tracer or Nether traitor.... or BOTH~ =3

Also, I have "fixed" and properly renamed most of the swords that emil has if anyone wants them. The only one I had problems with was the KK_11 one. It's probably cause it's Emil's sword that he has in cutscenes I'm guessing...maybe it's designed differently XP

Should I give a link to the files I have? Or what...

If you need testers, I'd be glad to check/test everything except the sound pack, cause I use gecko OS. Still...interesting how this showes up right after I decide to do it XP

NaruZeldaMaster: You're completely wrong about the 11th sword, I don't remember what sword it is, but it is obviously not the sword Emil has in his cutscenes. The sword he has in his custscene is the 4th. I'm sure of it because I have a lot of images of this sword in game.

Heh do you guys want the files anyway for whatever? lol I basically did it mainly out of boredom, but yeah XD

Other than the eleventh one, they're all "fixed" and properly named ( that is, the actual bress file) as they are in the game. at least I'm pretty sure they're properly named.

i cant wait i need to see a video (or some pictures) of the new updated ratatosk! argh. he is so cool! i just need to see his updated version... so er what did you choose for his final smash? his mystic arte devils hellfire? and if so do you try to give him the Ain Soph Aur too? (maybe if you press B or A after the er fire tornado? because it would be pretty cool to have him use two final smashes) ill make youtube videos of using him if you want. (i even have some on my youtube channel) i think thats all i could do because im too bad at other things.

would be epic if for his final smash you could make the mystic art and have the anime cutout graphic from the game appear.

Marth has a graphic like that for his final smash (The life bar image that animates) so I know something like that is possible with the right amount of effort :3

Judas of Smashboard warned me that the moveset of Emil that will be used (unless there are technical problems) was posted. Here it is.

This modifies all of Emil's base artes from physical to elemental.

Moveset:

A : 1st slash : Emil slashes diagonally low.
A2 : 2nd slash : Emil slash diagonally up
>a : Kick : Emil kicks the enemy diagonally up.
>a2 : Strike : Emil relentlessly strikes the opponent
Va : Stab : Emil relentlessly stabs the opponent
vA2 : Strike : Same as >A2
^A : Jump, then attack: Emil jumps while holding his sword up.

Note: This works almost exactly like the AAA system in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new world.

Air A: Left slash: Emil slashes left
AirA2: Spin slash: Emil spins while holding his sword in the open
UpAirA: Slash up: 2nd part of ground up A

Note: The aerial AAA system works exactly like in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New wold. If needed, Aerial Up A will be programmed in case it is impossible to program the whole attack in one action. (For Ground Up A)

v------ The Base Artes -------v

B : Demon Fang: Emil sends out a shockwave from his sword
>B : Savage Reaper: Emil Jump strikes, then stabs.
vB : Havoc Strike: Emil jumps, then throws himself down.
^B : Ravaging Tiger: Emil jumps, while slashing twice.
AB : Blade Fury: Emil relentlessly slashes his sword everywhere.
>AB: Pheonix Rush: Emil slashes up, then down.
^AB: Raining Fangs: Emil jumps, then sends several shockwaves.
vAB: Fiend Fusion: Emil powers himself up to run faster.

Note: When Centurion Assistance is activated, these artes will completely change. List of changes:

B : Dark element and no projectile
>B : Light element and extra knockbakc
vB : Fire element and extra hit
^B : Lightning element and extra hit
AB : Ice element
>AB: Wind element, 2 extra hits and reduced momentum
^AB: Water element, 2 less hits, and a minor projectile
vAB: Rock element and transformed arte (It is now an attack)

Recall: Centurion Assistance can be activated by pressing down taunt.

v------- The Arcane Artes -------v

Z : Dual Death: Emil strikes, then sends out two shockwaves.
>Z : Raging Heaven: Emil slashes 4 times, while performing unusual momentum changes.
^Z : Dark Radiance: Emil jumps up, slashes, then somersaults while holding his sword out in the open, then lands.
ZB : Converging Fury: Emil performs Blade Fury, then dashes across the opponent, knocking him/her down.
vZ : Demon's Rage: Emil slashes twice, then jumps. When he lands, the ground shakes slightly.
>ZB: Raging Thrust: Emil dashes across, then performs Savage Reaper.
vZB: Quake Assualt: Emil performs Blade Fury, then smashes the ground.
^ZB: Roaring Tiger: Emil dashes across, jumps up, then uses Raining Fangs.

Note: These aren't throws. Z artes are the better decision because they support the arte linking system, and because throws are cheap in brawl. Also, no one can seem to come up with a remotely good idea for throws for tales characters (Senel is an exception)

Smash left: Heavenly Tempest: Emil jumps, while slashing twice, then spins around several times.
Smash up : Light Spear Cannon: Emil strikes his sword diangally up, while sending a shockwave that causes multiple hits.
Smash down: Sword Rain Alpha: Emil slashes multiple times, then does a strike with higher (but still low) knockback.

Note: These smash attacks aren't chargeable.

v------- Artes affected by a guage ------v

ABZ: Devil's Maw
ABZ2: Ars Nova

Note: These artes are based off a gauge. When it's half full, Devil's Maw will perform. When it's completely full, Ars Nova will perform.

Final Smash: Devil's Hellfire

Note: This can be done via smash ball or complex command.

The command:

Base arte + Arcane arte (A must be held the whole time. In this case, not all artes can be used to activate this, such as Pheonix Rush) The gauge must be completely full as well.

If B is pressed 40 times during the final smash:

At the end, Ain Soph Aur will perform.

v----- Other commands ------v

Up taunt: Ability Enhancer

This gives Emil 9 extra AAA attacks (meaning that it is now AAAAAAAAAAAA), ability to use artes in the air, ex attacks, ability to connect two base artes, stronger backstep, and faster teching.

Side taunt: Attribute Enhancer

This boosts item use and gives out a new command used to perform Devil's Hellfire (Use arcane arte with B held down while the gauge is full)

Down Taunt: Centurion Assistance

This changes Emil's base artes. (The changes are listed in the base arte section.)

Note: Emil can't use all three at once. For example, if Down Taunt is pressed, Emil can use Centurion Assistance, but if he presses up taunt, he loses the Centurion Assistance ability, but gains the Ability Enhancer ability.




He had too many unique artes to throw out XD

Oh, I must also point out that this moveset is most specified to wiimote and nunchuck users. In that case, Z is wiimote's R.


Personally, as I expected, this moveset is not really in the brawl formula, but it's rather normal as again, for example, tales of characters can't have good throws (excepted Senel like you said). I really like the moveset, it seems really promising. But one thing though, how many time does it take to change between modes? Is it a fast process or not?

And the only thing that really annoys me in this moveset: has he or not, a dash attack?

Also, what do you mean by it boosts item use? Do you mean that items he holds will do more damages, or that he will be healed more than others when eating a maxi tomato for example?

An other question: how do you know about the jauge: you introduced a unisson jauge like in the game: how do you know if it is half complete, complete, or empty? And, how do you plan to include Ars Nova? After all, Ars Nova is an attack that requires both Marta and Emil, does it mean that Marta will come to help him? Because, it would probably be a bit hard to make in Brawl, not counting you can face some file size problems...

Other than that, the moveset is really good, really well thought, really reflective of his gameplay! I don't have any regret though of the moveset Judas and I built, because it seems it helped Anlgc. But seriously, this moveset according to me is much better. He only real problem faced is that those who want an Emil adapted to Brawl won't have it (but as a tales of character, it's better that way).

Oh, and one thing, does one of you owns all Emil's voices? And when I mean all voices, I mean his voices for his artes used in the moveset, and also for his A attacks. Because if you Anlgc or innerscope don't have them, quickly say it to me so that I send them to you. Because I normally have them, directly extracted from the game. And in japanese of course. I say this because from around 3 July, I won't have access to them to around the beginning of September.

Soooo.. i read tha read mii thing in the 3.0 emil, annnd imma b real, i didnt listen and didnt put everything in the pakage on. all i did was the stuff in the fighter/falco  folders. aaaaand it didnt work. i just wanna test it out, so i was wondering, wuts the minimum of things i gotta includde to use this? cuz i just wanna test it, i didnt wanna put all that commins and info and all dat on yet....
