Title: Community Hack Pack: Submit your favorite hacks! Post by: ??_? on August 17, 2012, 02:17:18 PM Community Hack Pack (Qual-Qual only) Ok pals, here's the deal:This Pack will include
Submit Here! (http://brawlsohard.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Smash_Pack_Wiki) Yeah, submit there, or here, I don't really care. Don't [censored] with the wiki, or I'll just give up. If there's a lack of interest in this and I don't get a lot of submissions, I'm dropping the whole thing, so tell your friendssss.
Title: Re: Where those qual-qual hack packs? Post by: ??_? on August 18, 2012, 02:12:05 PM I dont know what qual means... But here's a 2-month-old character pack. http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=25933&Moderated=All (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=25933&Moderated=All) I was looking for one without any PSAs, but thanks you. Title: Re: Where those qual-qual hack packs? Post by: Kienamaru on August 18, 2012, 04:01:11 PM Assuming qual means quality... You're trying to create a hack pack that consists of what exactly?
Title: Re: Where those qual-qual hack packs? Post by: ??_? on August 18, 2012, 09:13:30 PM anything but PSAs.
Title: Re: Where those qual-qual hack packs? Post by: Kienamaru on August 18, 2012, 09:16:12 PM Alright, What do you have already?
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: ??_? on August 18, 2012, 10:20:33 PM Absolutely nothing. OP updated
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Sky Grounder on August 19, 2012, 03:02:24 AM I'll help. Also set me in the PAL support department :P
Btw, are we using completely new stages or stages based on Brawl's? (Like same collisions.) Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Kienamaru on August 19, 2012, 03:30:29 AM I was also wondering something like that. If we were simply downloading stuff or making new stuff. If we're making new stuff i'll have to not help because PSA is all i do.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Sky Grounder on August 19, 2012, 03:32:04 AM Well the goal is to make a hack pack but to keep the original movesets.
Also, we can just use the newest imports on the vault, we don't have to make everything ourselves (which would've taken forever). Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Kienamaru on August 19, 2012, 03:35:15 AM I know, which is why i said if we have to make anything original I can't.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: ??_? on August 19, 2012, 09:25:18 AM Nothing original is being made, this is just compiling some of the best works from the community and putting it in a complete pack.
All standard stages will remain, they'll just be textured, and new stages will be added. Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: SJS on August 19, 2012, 09:54:05 AM As for portraits, you could probably find everything you'd need in my thread. If not, they can be made.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Segtendo on August 19, 2012, 10:31:40 AM I would love to help out. There are many amazing hacks out there that everyone should try at least once in their life time.

If not, they can be made. for sure <3I'd love to start asking for submissions now, but I need an easy way to keep track... Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Kienamaru on August 19, 2012, 07:58:20 PM Noah I just made a level and am wondering if you can test it for me.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Segtendo on August 19, 2012, 08:00:22 PM Why do you need to ask him here? :srs:
Just PM him. Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: Kienamaru on August 19, 2012, 08:09:25 PM Segtendo please leave me alone. The stage can go in the pack.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: help required Post by: ??_? on August 21, 2012, 10:00:54 PM Anyways, OP updated. I've got some big plans for being able to load 2 pfs; one for wifi and the other not. The one that isn't for wifi can have the default stages replaced and model imports (those always desync, correct? I should know this but I've been inactive for a while). Due to some things being incompatible with PAL, I'm going to focus on getting the NTSC version out first and then work on the PAL with help from sky.
One thing we can currently do is start compiling the code for the gct. We seriously need an easy and effective way to manage slot submissions, anyone got any ideas? Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Kienamaru on August 22, 2012, 04:05:53 AM Slot submissions? You can put a poll up for each slot for a certain amount of time? Also, i'm working on textures for stages, something went wrong but when I get them perfect I'll let you know and I'll release them here.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Sky Grounder on August 22, 2012, 08:35:18 AM Keep in mind that PAL does not have the Stage Expansion code, so the PAL version cannot have those custom stages. Which again means only textures for WiFi safe stages (although it can have more modifications- it will at least require unmodified collision data/STDT/StgPosition/PT points (?) as well as keeping bones used by module files unmodified (such as hitboxes)).
Should we use a custom-designed CSS? (or at least re-organized) Also, watch out for models in the Vault with even slightly modified bones... such as maybe the Banjo vertex hack (I think, I got an occasional glitch where he (or whoever it was) would end up far past the top of the screen.) Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: ??_? on August 22, 2012, 09:58:25 AM Slot submissions? You can put a poll up for each slot for a certain amount of time? Let's see, 42 characters times 6, plus around 70 stage slots not counting customs. 300+ polls? No way. Especially since people don't seem very interested and there wouldn't be many votes. Keep in mind that PAL does not have the Stage Expansion code, so the PAL version cannot have those custom stages. Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Sky Grounder on August 22, 2012, 10:38:25 AM I asked DW about the NTSC-U FPC progress over at WiiRD.
Also, if it's of any interest, this is a re-organized CSS I made a while back (based on ASF1's CSS): Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: ??_? on August 22, 2012, 10:43:03 AM that's pretty sex, I'm probably going to be picking the CSS and SSS last though
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: metatrongrhm on August 22, 2012, 10:59:05 AM I think(THINK) there was a voting system where people could vote for up to x amount of options.
If, after a while, you have >60 stages, and have to sort the good from bad, you could just make a poll asking to vote for up to 35, of the 60 stages you have narrowed it down to. Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Sky Grounder on August 22, 2012, 11:19:08 AM Well I think the 1st priority should be to get hacks for the first hack folder (if we get a NTSC-U version of the code).
Also, were you thinking about having full hack sets for each folder? Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: ??_? on August 22, 2012, 11:30:00 AM yes mhm :p
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Segtendo on August 22, 2012, 12:29:16 PM that's pretty sex, I'm probably going to be picking the CSS and SSS last though If Asf1nk's new one comes out in time, you should include that :PTitle: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Sky Grounder on August 22, 2012, 02:12:20 PM If Asf1nk's new one comes out in time, you should include that :P I'm fairly certain it will be a while before that one is out. With effort and dedication, we can get this pack out pretty fast. However, I can't really do much work on this atm due to having little free time :-\ Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Kienamaru on August 22, 2012, 03:09:46 PM I was meaning character only polls. Example...
Which Textures should be used over Link? Fierce Deity Magic Armor Zora Tunic etc. (That stuff) Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: ??_? on August 22, 2012, 06:55:52 PM That's still 42 polls.
I might use polls when we can't make a clear decision though. Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Need way to do stuff Post by: Kienamaru on August 22, 2012, 07:03:45 PM Alright then.
Title: Re: Community Hack Pack: Submit your favorite hacks! Post by: ??_? on August 23, 2012, 10:57:27 PM submit, or whatever
