Title: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Marcov15 on June 19, 2009, 07:19:38 PM This was written by picano, all credit goes to him
Quote This is Phantom Wings's Dynamic SD Loader code which allows you to load files from the SD card during game play. I helped a bit but all the credit goes to PW. (also to picano for the textures) (Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzBmYD24xU8) courtesy of Igglyboo) http://www.youtube.com/v/nzBmYD24xU8 (Note that this video is from an early testing version of the code. It is virtually flawless now.) Still don't understand what this does? Load textures from your SD card instead of burning new disks! Thank you deadpixel for linking to the update, Phantom Wings for making the code, and Igglyboo for being awesome. NOTE: Version 3.5.1 currently only works for an NTSC-U copy of Brawl --- that is --- only if you live in the United States, Mexico, Canada, or additional close region. PAL users must use 2.1, which does not work with music. GCT Code File [RSBE01 --- NTSC Brawl] (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2yikz3mmdrh) (Includes texture stuff, camera hack, and longer replays) GCT Code File [RSBP01 --- PAL Brawl (http://www.filefactory.com/file/af8a059/n/RSBP01_gct) (Unrestriced camera, disable custom stages and all codes needed for file replacement to work) -- Codes courtesy of Phantom Wings, Y.S., and brkirch -- For the codes themselves, please scroll down past the instructions. Instructions: 1) Place the GCT code file on your SD card in a \codes\ folder -- ex: E:\codes 2) Place your texture files in the appropriate folders Each file will be stored as the following - The Green is the actual file itself. Character Textures: X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\fighter\(Character Name)\Fit(Character Name)(Color #).pcs/.pac -- ex: E:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\Fighter\Luigi\FitLuigi00.pac -- ex: E:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\Fighter\Luigi\FitLuigi00.pcs -- Character Name List (http://www.sendspace.com/file/2gg78l) -- Color list (http://stacksmash.cultnet.net/STUFFZ/PAC%20LIST.txt) Final Smashes Textures: X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\fighter\(Character Name)\Fit(Character Name)Final.pac (PT will have a color # in between Final and .pac) -- ex: E:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\Fighter\Pit\FitPitFinal.pac -- Character Name List (http://www.sendspace.com/file/2gg78l) Brawl Stage Textures: X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\stage\melee\(StageName) -- ex: E:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\stage\melee\FSTGBATTLEFIELD.PAC -- Stage Name List (http://www.sendspace.com/file/kha571) Assist Trophy Texture: X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\item\(AT Name)\Asf(AT Name)Brres.pac Pokemon Textures: X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\item\(Pokemon Name)\Pkm(Pokemon Name)Brres.pac Character Images(CSPs): X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\system\common5.pac X: Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\info\portrite\InfFace###.brres X: Private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\menu\common\char_bust_tex\MenSelchrFaceB###.brres (Got a TGA? Music X:Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\sound\strm\X##.brstm WARNING [from PhantomWings] There is a popular rumor (should I say theory?) that repetitively reading from the SD card (which is what this code does for music) can harm the SD card. I am unsure of whether this is the truth or not, so just be aware of the possibility. You have been warned. Neither KittyCorp nor PhantomWings will be held responsible for any damaged SD cards. Post by: mnsg on July 11, 2009, 05:15:31 PM Here's the File Replacement v2.1a NTSC code for anyone not too comfortable with the newest file replacement code. It uses 34 lines of code, and is practically flawless with character textures and character portraits.
Code: File Replacement v2.1a NTSC: [Phantom Wings] As a bonus, you can combine that code with the Unrestricted Camera code, adding up to 37 lines of code. Code: Unrestricted Camera In Pause: [Clel] If PAL users want to do custom textures AND custom portraits, you'll have to rely on File Replacement v1.3 PAL for now. File Replacement v2.1a PAL causes crashes with the custom portraits. At least, that's what I've heard. Using all of the codes shown below (which is required in order to work) will add up to 178 lines of code. Code: File Replacement v1.3 PAL: [Phantom Wings] Title: Re: (July 9) SD Loaded Textures! 2.SD loader is OLD Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Naruto200Man on June 30, 2010, 01:24:36 PM then what should I use and where can I find it XP I downloaded a few textures to try out but I want to make my own as well. I'm starting with characters/basic texture hacking since I'm new at it, but if I don't have the brawl ISO or at least just the stuff for the characters and stages datawise I can't do anything :s
I also wanna know how to use texture hacks that are already made X_X Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Segtendo on June 30, 2010, 03:16:11 PM File Patch Code.
Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Naruto200Man on June 30, 2010, 04:21:49 PM Ahh sorry lol So let me get this straight.
To USE texture hacks I need the brawl iso on my memory card or just the data about the textures and stuff for the characters and stages (since that's all I'm really interested in atm) and place the pac and pas files (For the spasific character)in the apropriate folder? and to make textures I just extract the photos of the characters and modify those with brawlbox on the computer? PS: sorry for such noobish questions, this's my first time trying texture hacks either way. Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Skyward Link on July 19, 2010, 04:08:14 PM wait, do you install moveset hacks the same way as texture hacks? i need to know. and what programs do you need on your wii to use these hacks
Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Naruto200Man on October 05, 2010, 07:41:57 PM I have a question, how do I change a characters name? like say change Peach's name to S.A.I.R.A?
Oh and I also wanna know how to change the tiny CSP too >_> where should I put that? :s Title: Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. Post by: Mansta8 on December 24, 2010, 09:34:47 AM to change a name you have to edit two of the textures in the same file your CSPs are in, just go through it until you find the names, you will have to edit both name textures to fully replace someone's name. I forgot which misc datas that they were in though.
