Hello KC:MM!
Boygos recently got his hands on some really nice models from the latest Marvel MMO!
We have decided to import all of the Avengers, as well as some Marvel extras.
We are open to others wanting to help with the project, but they need to be experienced in importing and have good quality rigs to show for it.
Most characters will be imported with their new "Movie Styles" models. However, some will have classic alternate outfits.

Alright, well heres the plan for now:
1. Boygos and DemonBoy rip the models and textures.
2. I will T-Pose all of them to their bones.
3. I'll send the models to whoever volunteered to rig them.
4. You guys rig the models the best you can, then send them to me. I'll tweak the rigs, add and material/shader edits, expressions, etc.
I saw some models of Cable, and I'm kinda tempted to rig him. Also curious if you guys found a model of Gambit as I remember seeing him as one of the NPCs of the game.
Let me know if you get models of those two and I'd love to attempt rigging them.

You'd be surprised. There are playable models for characters that haven't even been confirmed yet.
Classic or Modern Cable? I'll add him to the list. I'll look for Gambit too.

Modern design for him looks a bit better and I think would fit better with the rest of the avenger designs, and over all his newer design is more badass.
And it'd be great if you can find Gambit, as he's prolly my favorite Marvel character.

There's files for him for sure.
But I'm not sure which ones are the models lol. Neither is DemonBoy, so I think he's gonna jsut look through them all lol

As far as the "team," I'm glad to see some good importers. Can't wait for these sexy models.

If that new model is sexy enough... I will go back to working on Hulk despite the hard coding issues I came up against.
I've finished uploading the entire game to my dropbox. DemonBoy is gonna have full access to it, which means models!
Now as long as we can find them with all these damn compressed UPK files....

Unfortunately, The models are fine, but we are unable to get any of the textures bigger than 64 by 64. There is going to be a lot of texture work required for this project. They're all mapped, but we have to resize them and improve the quality. By a LOT.

I can make textures for them too, no problem. Were you planning on using Spec maps for them, I think it'd be cool if Cap had a subtle leathery shine to him?

That would be really cool. And yeah, I think we are planning on adding spec maps to everyone. I sent you a link to all the models :P You can just take what you'd like to texture :P
I'm up for giving it the old college try. I'm correct in assuming the textures you do have are pretty much worthless, and we're starting over from scratch, yeah?
We're using the ripped textures as a base so there isn't as much of a need for UV mapping.
I'd be okay with Beyond doing the textures for Gambit, and I could attempt doing the textures for Cable. no guarantee's on if I could remap them though.
The models look great btws. I'm sure once we get the textures, they will look even better!.

Not entirely worthless, gladly. They tell us where things are mapped, they're just horrible quality. Resizing them from 64x64 to 512x512 and redoing them is what we're doing.
See, I updated the belt and head and the star. Other than that, the textures are horrrid.

Great! I believe he's already started. There won't be any need to map, don't worry. I'll send you Cable now.
@Everyone, Beyond is texturing Gambit, as well as the movie versions of Cap and Iron Man. I'm not sure if he's rigging anyone, that's up to him.
Also, I have recovered Domino and Magneto's files if anyone's interested.

There is no UV mapping required.
Just resizing and editing the textures.
I think Dot or Beyond would be willing to help you texture him if you need help. Just ask them. I'll send you both Hulks. The Avengers one looks like a much nicer model, imo.

im saying, send me a UVmap exported with 3ds max, since that way i'll have actal borders and directions of how the texture should work, i never said anything about editting the UVs xD
I've edited the UVs on Strange. Hope that's cool. His UVs were laid out terribly. It's like whoever made him just ran it through an auto-map program and called it a day. :srs:
