Title: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - History of Light and Shadow Post by: Kage Ryu on August 05, 2013, 11:35:51 PM (http://i.imgur.com/M2UcW7r.png) Good morrow! Welcome to this humble little corner of the forums. Kage Ryu has taken a liking to making these CSP images as of late. Custom poses, plus a little Photoshop for lighting emphasis. Let us see if that will become a thing. Updates may or may not be consistent and/or frequent. Request Info: NEWS Kage Ryu currently presents: :ganon: The King of Evil has arrived, and makes no effort to hide his enormous power. Scarier still, this isn't the end of his reign! Not sure who I'm doing next. Still experimenting with the style, so I'm like to be sticking with characters that don't have much in the way of alpha textures. If you have any critique/feedback, it would be welcome. (: Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - The Man in Green Post by: Akeno/Archer on August 08, 2013, 10:04:11 AM Ooohhhh... Looks pretty good! Maybe you should put the left hand closer to the mouth...
Other than that, Quality = (http://i.imgur.com/NZFSOVd.gif) Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - Bound to Earth Again Post by: Kage Ryu on August 10, 2013, 09:41:56 PM Ooohhhh... Looks pretty good! Maybe you should put the left hand closer to the mouth... Thank you.Other than that, Quality = (http://i.imgur.com/NZFSOVd.gif) I think it might be the angle that makes it look kinda weird, since it's that whole index-finger-under-the-nose type of thing I was going for (seen in his Mario & Luigi artwork). I'm going to leave it be, since the highlights and shadows are drawn by hand and I'd like to avoid drawing them again if I don't need to. In other news, I have updated the thread with more Ness CSPs! I have also determined who my next victim shall be... Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - Bound to Earth Again Post by: Kage Ryu on August 17, 2013, 09:02:05 PM Good morrow! The OP has been updated with some Ganondorf.
Well, Falcon was originally slated to be done next, but the King of Evil is pretty pushy. I decided to listen and not get myself Warlock Punched. The Captain's still on the way, though! [EDIT] Also, how does one merge posts? Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - Bound to Earth Again Post by: Shun_One on August 17, 2013, 11:18:57 PM Whoa! Nice stuff ya got in this joint! Nice Ganon Pose, I gotta say.
I'm not sure how exactly to merge posts, but I notice it happens if you try to post again before a set amount of time has passed. Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - Bound to Earth Again Post by: Akeno/Archer on August 18, 2013, 06:57:56 AM Epic, that's all...
Btw, do you take requests? Even if it's just 1 request? Title: Re: Shadow Dragon Portrait Studio - History of Light and Shadow Post by: Kage Ryu on August 18, 2013, 10:54:15 AM Whoa! Nice stuff ya got in this joint! Nice Ganon Pose, I gotta say. Thanks much. ^^I'm not sure how exactly to merge posts, but I notice it happens if you try to post again before a set amount of time has passed. Hm. I see. I guessed it would just automerge to prevent double posting, but I guess that feature's only for preventing rapidly posting spam. Epic, that's all... Thanks. ^^Btw, do you take requests? Even if it's just 1 request? Request info's in the OP, but here it is again for quick reference: Request Info: In short, feel free to make a request, though when I get around to it depends on whether I've already posed and/or Photoshopped the character already. I have some requests if possible. woa dat quality on your csps is very good, will you do some for my 2hus in the future? o: Thank you, and I certainly can. The Melee Ganondorfs were actually next on the list.I want to learn how to do that sexy-ass lighting. I'm dying to learn how to make dem high quality CSPs. Same here. :>.>: Photoshop, mostly. I haven't found a way to get very powerful lighting in Brawlbox, so I add a few layers in PS to tweak the contrast and color balance a tad to simulate an actual lit environment. I also paint over it with a layer of highlights and shadows, which is why I haven't done many imports (since the custom-painted lighting would have to be redone). That explanation totally makes my topic title relevant now. That said, your Touhou imports may take a few updates, Kyouma. (; |
