Good morrow! Welcome to this humble little corner of the forums.

Kage Ryu has taken a liking to making these CSP images as of late. Custom poses, plus a little Photoshop for lighting emphasis. Let us see if that will become a thing. Updates may or may not be consistent and/or frequent.

Not sure who I'm doing next. Still experimenting with the style, so I'm like to be sticking with characters that don't have much in the way of alpha textures. If you have any critique/feedback, it would be welcome. (:

I think it might be the angle that makes it look kinda weird, since it's that whole index-finger-under-the-nose type of thing I was going for (seen in his Mario & Luigi artwork). I'm going to leave it be, since the highlights and shadows are drawn by hand and I'd like to avoid drawing them again if I don't need to.

Well, Falcon was originally slated to be done next, but the King of Evil is pretty pushy. I decided to listen and not get myself Warlock Punched.
The Captain's still on the way, though!

Photoshop, mostly. I haven't found a way to get very powerful lighting in Brawlbox, so I add a few layers in PS to tweak the contrast and color balance a tad to simulate an actual lit environment. I also paint over it with a layer of highlights and shadows, which is why I haven't done many imports (since the custom-painted lighting would have to be redone).
That explanation totally makes my topic title relevant now.


That said, your Touhou imports may take a few updates, Kyouma. (;
