Sorry for asking but no one else seems to be: Does the site have any plans to host Smash4 mods at some point in the future? I've really enjoyed using the Brawl Vault over the years...

So... the Brawl Vault is completely unusable to me right now. I can't get past the first page of anything in the vault because my attempts to get to any other page only redirects me to back to page one. (clicking on page 2 only takes me back to page 1)

Safe search is disabled. I'm using Google Chrome and the problem has been present for at least a week. Clearing my browser's cookies and cache hasn't resolved the problem.

Any advice for me?

I've had Melee's Target Test music on the WiFi Waiting Stage for a year now, but it's started to become stale due to how much time I've spent in the waiting room. I was wondering if anyone here had some suggestions, what BRSTM do you use for the WiFi Waiting Room?

I've always been able to apply textures to stages, but anytime I try to install an entirely new stage to the game it freezes at the loading screen when I select it. I know I'm placing them in the correct location and under the right names, and I shouldn't need a .rel file unless I want to place the stage in a different location.

Stages such as Rainbow Road or Outset Island, the ones that have edited models won't work.
I'm using File Patch Code 3.5.1 to replace the stages in Gecko. Any clue as to why it might not be working?

Edit: This should probably be moved to Stage help eh?

Using a Homebrew app known as WiiXplorer, I can view and copy and maybe replace files on the SSBB disc. Couldn't this be another method of replacing .brstm files?

Help / Re: Custom song freezes with custom stage

Hmm, I'm having a similar problem... Not sure if my custom music is causing the problem though.

Should I try reentering the 3.5.1 code perhaps?
#8
Okay, I figured they had different functions because of the different names, despite meaning the same thing.  :-\

I turned off the File Replacment Code 2.1 while leaving the File Patch Code 3.5.1 on, and it displays my hacked startup screen as usual, but it gives me a black frozen screen when the game is supposed play the SSBB intro.

I turned off the File Patch Code 3.5.1 and turned the File Replacement Code 2.1 on, and it still freezes at the stage select screen.

No... if the file was placed in the wrong directory or I didn't have the file replacement code on, it wouldn't be freezing, instead it would load the normal brawl stage, unless model textures are placed in a different directory than textures.

Where do you have said file placed?
E:/private/wii/rsbe/pf/stage/melee

And is it made for Battlefield?
Yes.

Also do you have the File Patch Code?  If you're using Gecko this is essential.
I am using Gecko. I am also using the File Patch Code 3.5.1 (For music hacking.) and the File Replacement Code 2.1. (For texture hacking, and everything else...)

I am trying to put a .PAC file over Battlefield (named STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC, model texture) but the game freezes on the "READY TO FIGHT!" screen. I've tried multiple files, and the only one that works so far is the Rainy Battlefield, which is only a texture hack.

What am I doing wrong? >_> This happens with all ModelTexture stages.

Help / Quick question about .pcs and .pac
June 20, 2011, 10:38:35 PM
It bothers me that some texture downloads include a .pcs and a .pac file for characters that don't transform. Do I need the .pac? (Toon Link)

The only files I've had on Final Destination before were other .pac textures. I haven't used .rel.

Check to see if your using the wrong SD card.

Yup, it's over Final Destination. The stage works for about a minute, then the beep of death starts playing...
The only file for Final Destination in the 'melee' folder is the Astral Phazon Destination PAC file, which is of course renamed STGFINAL.
